so i've read in like 3 different places that all of RE's stuff is the same as rusty's...like its made with the same shit on the same machines in the same plants. should i save some cash and get the rusty's or go with the RE?

Could you please explain and share these 3 places you heard this?

I have never heard that, ive had rusties lower CA and now run the full RE6200... totally different stuff and quality.

I was also under the impression that alot of RE's stuff is made locally. Besides the leaf packs... maybe, i dunno?

hahahah you're a character, i see smoke! :wierd:

the leaves are i think, i've read it on here. i do remember some were on here that something that rustys had was made by the same place that makes something of R.E.

My RE leafs are a good 5 years old now with carnage and moab and some good flexing on them and after the break in point on them they haven't sagged that much. I love them. Did they change the supplier over the years or something?

ok guys i dont know who's close to denver but does anyone else think that High Country performance is Lakewood is hella overpriced? the guy wanted to charge me 260 for a tera SYE kit (which i know is a good price, ok) and 370 for a custom shaft (again, i know a good price) but then he wanted to charge me 400 dollars for labor. sounds like bullshit to me. but this seems to be another bump in the road for my SYE. it looks like i'm gonna run the RE HnT and get a cutsom shaft made from Front Range Driveline. yay? nay? anyone got a similar setup?

I just bought a set a M.O.R.E mtr. mounts from Chuck at High Country last wed. 128 bucks plus tax. Thats cheaper than M.O.R.E website and he stocks them. He wanted 145 to start but I told him the online price and he beat it. I'd get the Terra kit and buy it from him so he can stay in buisness and have parts in stock on the day you need them. Buy the big snap ring plyers and as long as you have your T-case degreased and a sheet to throw on the ground it's not hard to put in. The hardest part is takeing the driveshafts and yokes off. I like Lakewood drive shaft and if your fairly new to building this kind of stuff I would recomend them. Small family biz that does take the time to make sure you will get the good stuff you need for a built jeep. I thought I new about driveshafts ,yokes and joint's till i bought from them. He had all the upgraded yokes and everthing and made sure I left with the right stuff.

Going back to the Rusty's vs RE debate.

I had a Rusty's 4.5" on my 99 XJ and loved it. Everything was well built and went together properly. As for Rusty's only offering a 4.5" thats bogus. They also offer a 6.5" short arm kit. I'd say if you are going to spend the money on a RE kit you should just fork over the dough for their LA setup. That being said I'm going with the Rusty's 6.5" LA for my "new" XJ.

ok...let me complicate this even more and throw another company in the mix. i've been looking at a lot of DPG stuff. anyone have any experience?

not with his leafs but good prices. I got my RE kit through him.

$400 to remove your tcase, disassemble it install the new parts and reinstall. For shop prices that sounds reasonable to me. You can do it yourself though. Firts time I ever cracked a 231 was to install my SYE on another rig. not a big deal go for it.

Oh and Scott over at Rocky Mountain Driveline will save you money on your new shaft.

yeah i was looking at the DPG/RE kits today...like 90% of the shitin those kits is RE, springs, leaves, like all of it. think i'm gonna give RE a shot, havent heard anything bad about 'em.
