One of the easy trails(although it has a good waterfall at the end)...

...the rocks really aren't that big on Backdoor...

Someone take up a collection

And buy Crash a new hat!

Starc is the only one who can get away with wearing clothes that match his rig... :D (He's too darn big to tell him not too)

Good Gawd, I was really, truly and totally fawked right there. I think I was simultaneously hung on the front diff (front AND back), rear diff, and I recall I had a rock wedged up between the exhaust cross pipe and the bellhousing. Oh, and the pass side glass eventually was resting tenderly on that rock wall.

Backdoor is a nice little 45 minute trail, wouldn't you all say?

I wouldn't offer to pay for gas on the return trip though, Mark.

Flat bed tow trucks are not the most efficient of machines......

Now THAT is f'in' funny :roflmao:

I must say this has been one of the most entertaining threads in a long time.

I'm in for twenty. Would that be a D35 on 35's? I might have missed it, is the front still running 260's ? This would be fun to watch. I'll be there with a jackson in hand.

If I were closer,

I'd have my $20.00 there too if I were closer. But I've only got 355's on a D30 and D35 with 31's. So somebody would have to give me a ride to the action. Looks like trails I won't be tiring for a couple of up grades!

Good luck to all! hehehehehehe

I COULD RUN HAMMERS IN 4 HI

Wow, I'm almost sorry I asked about running 35's. I think I got it, proper gearing is friend, heat bad, me have headache from post.
Thanks for the info guys. Quick tiny little no big deal question, 4.10's or 4.88's. ............ Play nice guys.

We want pictures and a report of the trail run. :)

LOL I'm fixing to put in either 4.11 or 4.56 in my DD...on 235/75 or 30" :)

If I had to choose for ya, I'd go 4.88 unless ya happen to have the other gears laying around to swap in... I do, but I ain't you.

The 4.0l is a pretty forgiving motor...lots of torque :) it's cooking the auto tranny ya gotta worry on (or rowing the stick like a madman)

As for these other nutcases...well, regear it and hit the Hammer's with em! I'd love to, and probably will one of these years...

4.88's, no question.

azxjman, we're going in two weeks, Nov 22-23. These guys are serious about the $$. Even though you're getting a good ration of crap here, we're good guys, and as long as you can handle a little (a lot :)) friendly ribbing on the trail, you'll have a good time. We give everyone crap, so you won't be alone. :)

BTW, what trails have you run in AZ, I assume around the Phoenix area.....Table Mesa and Florence Junction? Also, what axles are you running? Steering? What spare parts do you carry?

You guys have got it all wrong! I'm ditching the 3.55's in favor of a swanky set o' 2.73's when I get my 40's! Wheel speed is where it's at,baby!!! Oh,did I mention I'm thinking of swapping out my 8.25" for a 35-C? :confused1

I think the site of 3.55's and 35's on Outer Limits is well worth the price of admission, and you'd likely get all attending to pony up to cover the gas.

I wouldn't offer to pay for gas on the return trip though, Mark.

Gas is for the xj only. If it is towed back it will be cheaper for me. :D

Damn, I just realized how big a prick I really am.

And it's not just me either, it seems the whole West Coast Gettin' It Crew are a bunch of SOB's.

Oh well, I've been having fun at other's expense for way too long to change now. :dunno:
