I think it's $10 a night.

Hey guys, I'm interested in going but my flange on my 8.8 axle must be changed out for my new driveshaft to go on and I'm not too sure how to do it. Supposedly its not too hard but there is a crush sleeve in there and I'm a bit scared to mess with it. Has anyone ever done this? Anyone near Simi Valley done this? Thanks guys.

I'm in Simi and have an 8.8... I used an adapter on the yoke and my stock shaft. Of course it came with my axle.

ya know, i just recalled... I bought the combo u-joint needed to put an XJ driveshaft up to the ford yoke that I didn't need, I can drop by tomorrow morning and help you set it up after I mow the lawn.

Alright, Im leaving in 10 minutes. Should be a 4 hour drive according to mapquest.

My dad and I will be driving a blue 99 and a brown 89.
We will have to find camp. Hopefully the rangers will know where about where everyone is.

Made it down here, but can't find anyone. We're eating lunch up by marker 6 right now (blue 94 on 33's).

Another good time at the beach, and another nice Jeep trip. I'm not into regular trips to the dunes, but it is always fun to do it once in awhile. As always, it was nice to meet a bunch of new folks. We had decent weather, for us in the central valley it was nice that it was cool, and no bad wind. I got to take my grandkids on their first Jeep trip, and that was priceless. They really got a kick out of dune running and hill climbing.

Next year we'll have to do it again.
