Rubicon trip with the Socal guys...

I put out the idea out on the Socal Chapter for a trip to the Rubicon and was told to see if i could get any of you guys interested in coming along and showing us around. I personally have never been and the guys that are willing to go haven't either. Here is the link to the thread.

Plan is for a June or July trip. So far the only week that's been brought up is from the 21st-25th. Any other input and interested parties are welcome

If you plan on June or July you should just hit the jeepers jamboree at the end of July. I bet there's a number of dudes here going.

Plan it around the Jamboree and I would love to try and make it. I might be doing some school this summer, so I would only be able to do a Saturday and Sunday run which is perfect for me.


Plan a date, and people will show up.

Well as i stated before im trying to make it so that everyone who is interested in going can so the only dates that have been brought up were those of june 21-25th. Most of the 2 that have posted on the Socal thread asked if we could do it during the week. That actually works for me but weekends also work for me too. ALso, any of you guys from the sierra chapter run this before? Be nice to go with other guys too. ALso to simplify things, i think posting on the SOcal thread will keep mr from having going back and forth as i forget sometimes to check but then again, i need to stop being lazy.

I will be there again also! thats my birthday trip every year. i did'nt think it was a zoo last 4th did you Mike? I thought it was rather slower then usual actualy. Maybe this time i can get summa that meat you talk about?!! I will get some this year even if i have to come steal some from you!!

yeah last year was def. slower... I like the con when its packed as long as everyone is responsible. Yeah sorry about that meat, will def hook it up this year.

Well, as for running closer to the 4th I agree too that I rather not run when its jam packed. Hence why I think m-Friday would work best.

im down to go whenever. but i would rather not be there with all the tourists. they get in the way with their shiny wheels and non scratched rental jeeps. but if the socal boys and gals want to hit fordyce im down. this trail if for experts only. if your not locked then you will need a winch no matter how high a lift you have. this trail make the rubicon look like its little sister. no joke. but with a good size group it could be fun. or for another alternative we could do a deer valley run with them. either way im down to smash this spring/summer. check out fordyce on youtube or the link below
