Rubicon reminder.

Summer is just about here and trips to the mountains will be in the minds of many of the locals.
If you plan on running the Rubicon(or other local trails) please carry the proper equipment which includes some sort of portable toilet system and a vehicle fluid spill recovery kit.

I highly recommend this system...PETT for dealing with human waste. It's not a big deal hauling out a WAG BAG or two with your garbage.

For vehicle spill kits I recommend one of these Trail Pails.
Sales of these help support the Blue Ribbon Coalition.

Rubicon information can be found here... FOTR
here... Rubicon Trail Foundation.
and here... PBB Rubicon Trail Talk.

Enjoy the Rubicon, be safe, and keep it clean!

Thanks.

Status of fire restrictions... Current conditions.
Remember, you must have a fire permit to have a camp fire, use a propane stove, or use charcoal in the back country.

And a friendly reminder... PLEASE, YOU AND YOUR PASSENGERS MUST WEAR YOUR SEATBELTS WHILE IN YOUR VEHICLE!!!

For the cheap people, a 5 gal. bucket with a plastic bag in it and set a toilet seat on top.

We've gone over this before.
The WAG BAGs make it legal to dump your waste in any trash recepticle.
It is illegal to dump human waste as is.

You could get that Pooh-Powder for your trash bag, or go with the WAG BAGS with your 5 gal. bucket.

I like how the WAG Bags work, I know that $2 for every time you have to go seems alot, but they are very clean and simple to use, and the zip lock bag makes it eazy to get rid of.

I highly recommend the PETT system. Not only for the good of the environment and keeping the trail open, but the folding toilet is a mighty comfy place to do your doody. Your wife and children will be much happier.

just got back from the con and it looked very clean. All I saw that we picked up was a box of cheese its and a couple of cans.
It was clean, although I took a 10 minute walk a few weekends back and got about 25 lbs of trash up there. If you are going up, pack an extra trash bag and take a little stroll and pick up as you go. Have fun and drive safe.

Can we make this video a sticky or something. This should be on EVERY offroad website on the web!!!!

Bump for SierraFest

I'll have a 'CleanWaste Go Anywhere portable toilet' on the trail with me. Bring your own WagBags.

Bags are available at your local outdoor store, and still time for Amazon Prime to deliver to your house.
