What an awesome trip. 4 jeeps, all first timers. I rode with a buddy for last years Jamboree, but none of the others in our group had been on the trail. Snowed hard Saturday, and I had t-case issues. Ended up ripping the ears off the rear driveshaft running the trail open rear in 2wd. Welded my spare u-joint into the driveshaft and got a few more miles out of that. Found a guy with a spare on sunday. T-case won't stay in 4wd, but was able to get it in often enough to complete the trail. Broke both front shocks and started tearing the drivers side shackle box, but made it through and drove it home Monday night. Wife's wj got some new sierra pin stripping, but made it through without so much as a tug. Fortunately, she's hooked. Labor Day weekend looks like another Rubicon adventure. There really is no such thing as a bad day on the trail

where you going in that last pic?

Looks like some slick conditions. Did anybody run the box in that slop?
I wish my lady had a con ready wj that she could chase me in. way to celebrate the holiday:patriot:

whats the specs on the WJ?

IRO long arms in the front, 6.5" coils front, 4.5" rear coils with a 2" spacer. 3.73 gears stock vari-lock limited slips. Homebrew 2" by 3/8" wall rear lowers with heim joints to push the tires out of the rear doors. 35" fierce attitude mt's. Stock 4.7L with a cai and a superchips perfomance tune. ballistic 3/8" front dif cover. Leather, seat heaters, infinity sound system. If your gonna build the wife a rig, make sure it's capable and comfortable, so she will want to go wheeling as often as possible. The 09 jk is my mother in laws, 3" lift and 35's otherwise stock. The 91 wagoneer is my brother in laws, tbi conversion, ford 1 tons, custom spring over front, shackle flip rear. Front spartan locker, open rear. 37" iroks and a 12k lb winch. It's very rewarding to have 4 vehicles that you built some if not all of go through the 'con together and all make it out the other side. I elected not to run the sluice with a broken driveshaft, but there were several buggies running it in the freezing, wet conditions. Saw 1 broken axle shaft and a ripped off spring hanger, but there were a few who made it no problem.

Nice WJ! its fun building rigs. I'm impressed you all went in the snow. I cant imagine running 1000$ hill in the snow

started from the loon lake side, $1000 was down hill. Fortunately cadillac hill was dried out by monday when we got there, that would have been scary in the snow.

oh yah that one ledge at the top of cadillac would have been scary in the snow for sure.
