Ross's Jeep that will take longer than Rob's to build thread...

wow that front tubework came together great. I like they way you tied into the hoop

Are you planning on putting some lights in the front tube work? Some 6" or 7" rounds would look good in there. IMO

I'm thinking maybe some 4.5" HIDs from RuffStuff

Front looks pretty good. Rear c-pillar/wheel well thing looks pretty dumb but I'll reserve judgement until you finish.

Nice work though

Yeah, back there is just kinda whatever. I ended up making a piece to go on the front half of the wheelwell and drop down to the rocker. I probably shoulda just bent a piece around the wheelwell and have a little section between the halo and it, but I dont really care at this point and dont wanna waste more tube redoing it. I'm gunna get a MJ tailgate and do some more tube to cap off the top where I cut the roof off.

Time will tell how it turns out and how good it looks

Thanks Justin, I'm really pumped with how it turned out, I'm very happy with it.

MJ tailgates are a great idea until you roll down backdoor and ruin it

Its gunna be more like the center sheetmetal section of the stock tailgate with 'JEEP' on it transfered over to a tube frame that will blend right into the tube work.

what are tailgates?

haha. I had considered doing something in the back but I wanted to get it done fast and I actually really like how it worked out. I love having it all wide open.

So I welded the cage that was there and did the harness bar. Tossed a battery box in it and got it running again, although I have no gauges now. Kinda just tossed it together and thru some junk in it and went wheeling. Took my new tow rig out for its first almost 1000 mile roundtrip down to Rausch Creek in PA last weekend. Truck did great, so did the jeep.

Busted another hydro assist line. Gunna have better ones made, ran the second day with no assist. Ended up bending and twisting the pitman arm outta whack. Bent another rim, inside lip got hit HARD, hope the inner air lock and tire are OK.

lookin good man.
you wouldnt lift your tire as much if your rear suspension was sharing some of the workload. seems like the front is doing all the flexors.

i think it has more to do with the stak havin a bazzilion to 1 low range

my rear leafs flex like a steel I beam, even with two leaves removed from the pack. the traction bar keeps the ass planted and from hopping, but I'm wondering if its binding or somethimg. the front also needs some limit straps, that might help to force the rear to flex too.

that or I just link the rear with some coilovers :D

did something bottom out in the last video?
