Hey guys my name is Zach. I started this thread to introduce myself as well as to get your advice on just about every aspect of my build ha.
I've had a 98 5 speed since i was 16. It was super lame (and knowing absolutely nothing) i bought a 6.5" lift and put 33s on it with the intent to wheel a lot. I went on a few trail runs and well it brought the suck! Between school and being broke i lost interest, but now its time to build it right. Just a forewarning.. this will take a while

The goal:
3.5" lift (i have already)
bumpstops
mid arm 3-link
deepest gears i can get for the 30/8.25
aussie lockers
steering
winch and build a winch bumper
armor
and more when i think of it..

Found an old picture of when i thought my jeep was all that

and as it sits now

i got my t&t customs inner fender panels the other day so its time to go drill some spot welds..

hey Zach dont be so hard on yourself, we all learn and our tastes and intentions change. it was a moment in time and there are more jeeps to build and have fun with. welcome aboard !!
i had a wrangler for almost 9 years and 225000 miles on it, been to the mississippi to the pacific, Portland Ore to Death Valley. loved it. i just got an MJ and trying to get back into it and finish school at age 47!

thanks guys!

For anyone that doesn't know what the T&T fender panels are i took a picture

i got one side of my inner fenders drilled out and removed and hopefully get it all welded in tomorrow after work

And then i decided to remove my front bumper and these pieces fell out..

I have know idea what happened because it was all intact when i made and installed my bumper. Now its broke, one chunk is missing, and some spacers were added.. My only guess is maybe it broke at the alignment shop??? Either way looks like i need to add it to the list so if you have any suggestions let me know!

That would be what's left of the crappy aluminum spacer that belongs between your steering box and the unibody.... the long bolts you removed to install the bumper allowed those pieces to fall out. I'm guessing the "U" shaped spacer was put in by someone else to replace the missing part of that spacer.

It's supposed to look like this:
