so...at some point in the last couple of days, either at the concert i was working at or at the imax theatre. some BRILLIANT person decided it would be a great idea to walk on my xj's roof. so low and behold, the other day i discover that it is quite caved in after the sun finally came up on the job i was at. at first i didn't see the footprints, and thought wtf happened? however upon further inspection i saw there were shoe marks and footprints on the top. now who the **** does something like that.

since the roof on the xj is about as thin as a pop can, i was able to bang some of it out, but there is now two dents and a section of the roof that sits higher after i popped it back. any thoughts on an easy way to make it straight again? or am i stuck with a wavy roof to match all of the other wavy body parts on the jeep.

also, is anyone a detective...if so i have some footprints i want to get examined before it rains. i need to pay a visit to whomever did this and see what happens when my 280 pound ass walks all over the roof of their vehicle

I have no idea man. I had the also brilliant idea of sitting up on the roof with the (ex) girl to watch fireworks. Now mine is caved in too. I have tried some pretty ridiculous ideas of getting it back in place including sitting upside down in the rear seat and doing a leg-press type movement on the roof. Didnt work.
What I am worried about is water pooling up there and causing problems.

Good luck altrocker...

It was just Cher's first time doing leg presses he can't quite lift sheet metal... :D

That's right I posted in the MWC just to say that!

Kevin and I sat up there for the 2010WF pic. I now have a slight bow in it. Not too worrisome. I used one of those suction cup pullers and got it "close enough for gov't work"

This thread really shows the guys that care about how their stuff looks and the guys that don't...also looking back at my old pics I can't believe how "clean" my xj was right after rolling it...at least compared to now...
