Rocktoberfest 2012 Official Thread

Rocktoberfest 2012 will be October 26th-27th with dinner on Friday night, time TBD.
Wheeling @ Rausch Creek.
Dinner & Camping @ Twin Grove Campground.

The NAC BOD would like to remind everyone that Rocktoberfest is more of a laid-back :: gathering that really isn't an organized event. There will be no formal trail setups or runs. Please expect to have safety checks like any other event. In the past the dinner has been provided to those that have shown up and was just for coming out and having fun. This year, to stop any confusion, dinner will be provided free to :: members only.

MEMBERS ONLY: Dinner is free & reduced tent site rates.
Non-members: Pay $15 at the dinner.
Non-members camping in our area must have a member at their site that can vouch for them/take responsibility. This will be enforced.

This is a CLUB.

If you are not a MEMBER of the CLUB you don't get the perks of discounted tent sites and free dinner on Friday night. So no, if you're a FORUM USER you don't get in on that seeing as how you're not paying up.

I have no problem hanging out with people by the campfire or at Rausch. Don't expect organized trail rides/leaders/etc like NACfest though, as it's a very laid back event.

It was moved to Friday the second year we did it to work around the C4C that the NJJA group did that year (2010 I think...). Their event/meal was Saturday, so we did ours on Friday night.

Makes sense, that was the first year I went. Figured there was a reason. Well, if it doesn't conflict this year any reason to not have dinner on Saturday instead? I don't mind either way but sam makes a good point

I'll be working, and right in the middle of a hitch for this one, and it's too late to request days off. Damnit. Maybe I'll get lucky and be able to sneak that Saturday off if things go wrong and they give us the day.
