The plan is to finish the run at the top of one of the hard canyons so folks can walk down and watch the hard run rigs finish their trail.

If you read the event info that has been posted we said there will be runs for everyone. I want to make it clear that I will make sure we have an easy run on Sat. I have the route already planned, and if I can't find someone knowledgeable of the area to lead it I will lead it myself. The plan is to finish the run at the top of one of the hard canyons so folks can walk down and watch the hard run rigs finish their trail.

This sounds like my kind of run.

Anyone bringing their kids? or is the desert going to be to cold at night for the little ones?

Mykids are good down to about -19*f then they start whining.

Actually, I dont know if mine are coming yet. They are camping the weekend before and they may not want to go two weekends in a row.

I like this idea, me and my bro would definitely be in for that on Saturday.

Chris

Brendan bring the kids it hasnt been below 35 at night out here yet so a decent jacket and or other decent gear should be good till bed time. Its generally colder where my house is since im a higher up the mountain

I will have my 8 year old son and 2 year old daughter with me, by all means bring the kids along. They will love it.

FYI people, Don't bring too much beer for partying at camp. Between me and Capt Ron there will be at least 30 gallons in 5 gallon batches of all different kinds.
Ron has a Red Ale and a Pale Ale
I have DunkelWeizen, Belgian Trappist, Belgian Wit, Porter, Cream Ale, and I'm doing a Red Ale also. Along with 3 Gallons of Appricot honey Wine AKA mead, and 3 gallons of Cherry Vanilla Soda for the kids.
Thats a lot of frickin beer. Enjoy.

OK. :yelclap:

You sure?? I am 6'4 275lbs.. I can drink! :laugh3:

how many are going to be tapping that tap? I would be MORE then willing to just "donate" to the case in the form of $ to not have to worry about doing dry and having a assortmant of good stuff to drink...

Lets see. the lowest alcohol content in any of my beers is 4.9% on the Dunkel. compare that to the butwiper and its one and a half times the alcohol.
The trappist is about 6.5, Wit 5.9, cream 5.25 and its smooth, Porter 5.25, and the red ale should be around 5.25. I might even add some honey and make it a honey red. That might be tasty... oh and the apricot mead is 13.125%. I'm hoping it clears up in time. its still a little cloudy but it taste great. Got something for everyone. from the Porter on the bitter side to the Dunkel on the malty and fruity side.

Puss...If its cheap your after then figure this.
a 30 pack of buttwipe is $20 at bevmo not including CRV or tax
It cost me at most $30 per 5 gallon batch for grain, hops, Yeast, bottled water and propane. If I reuse yeast from a previous batch then I can save $8.
on these kegs that I am bringing, I reused Yeast on most of them.
Now it gets fun. Your 30 pack of butwipe cost at least $0.67 a beer.
My 5 Kegs of homebrew cost me about $125 total plus my time which I have when I'm watching my son. There are 53.3 beers per 5 gallon Keg @ $25/keg.
Thats $0.47 a beer with more alcohol and better tasting. The cream ale is lighter in color and more flavor than any light beer and is 5.25%.
If you feel so inclined, throw $5 in a hat and have all the beer you want.:dunce:
