3 of my injectors on my '89 4.0 started leaking this weekend. I picked up a set of 19lb 5.0 injectors from a friend of mine who pulled them out of his Mustang to replace with bigger ones. My question is can I just replace the 3 that are leaking or should I replace all 6? I don't not what the stock ones are rated at so I'm not sure if they can be used together with the 5.0 injectors or if I have to use one or the other?

Thanks, Kevin

just go ahead and replace all 6 trust me the other three will follow shortly also there is only like 10 min. more work doing all of them.
DIG IT!

so is the cheapest source for replacements 5.0 injectors? I had one go bad last year and had to pay 80 for it. I want to do the rest now cause its having symptoms again.

Yes, I agree, who has the best prices on the 5.0 injectors and if someone has them, the part numbers. I have no clue about buying them and when I looked at that 5.0 site they had like 4 or 6 different models. Is it just a case of 'match the connectors' or what ??? If I call them up and ask for the '5.0 injectors for a 98 Cherokee 4.0' will they know which ones I'm talking about from selling them to others ???

dont want to sound like an ass, but try a quick search...

I am currently doing the same project right now. 5.0's are direct swaps for the factory injectors. I would not only swap 3 because the 5.0 injectors flow slightly differently then the factory units and this may result in a few cyl getting more fuel or better atomized fuel.

As for the cheapest place. www.fiveomotorsport.com . Bruce is the man. He has helped me on my problems i've had with my used injectors I bought off of him. How many companies will you find that will awnser an technical email at 6pm on a sunday afternoon??
