im gonna start off by saying i dont care about how much better renix tech is im looking for simplicity for offroading purposes less to go wrong and the under hood wiring under the hood of this era cherokee is terrible to say the least was wondering if anybody had luck converting to something like this http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-850047/applications/make/jeep?prefilter=1 with out reinventing the wheel??

Let me be the first to say you'll be reinventing the wheel.
I mean, you could, but you'll lose all ability for the ECU to control timing, and that's a pretty big deal. It's likely to cause driveability issues.
fix the underhood wiring or convert it to HO if you really dislike it.
if you want a standalone distributor that bad it's gonna come with a carb.
