Well I kind of did: I started with rubber down and that's where I ended up! Btw, how's your XJ doing?

drives me crazy. put my old radiator back in after rodding it and it runs cooler than the 3 row gdi new. i still think it is a bit warm for a 180 thermo. but as to the fire stuff, all it took was to splice in 4 wires on the O2 sensor,change the fuel line and it was good to go. unfortunatly it was overheating enuf to not be able to make big bear. that might be fixed now. i think i need to drop a thermocouple in an old temp sensor socket and measure the actual temp.

I used a pipe 'T' with a couple of pipe nipples in the upper heater hose. In the 'T' part, I installed a manual temp guage. Wouldn't you know, it reads very close to the stock guage. It's nice looking at numbers instead of hash marks, though.

You know that I was more expecting catching a fire myself then rolling? I had 2 big extinguishers with me last trip out. Anyways good to hear that you're up and running.
