Reiter Trails 4/11/09

[Ba-Riedo]

Supsa, myself, and a few guys from PNWJeep headed over to Reiter Trails on saturday and played around for a bit. The trails were fairly empty and our group made good time with just some minor body damage. Oh and one broken window. :lol:

We met up around 1030 and decided to hit up Isabelle to Trail of Doom first...

Heading up on the Lake Isabelle Trail, this part had a nice off camber river crossing that proved a little too much for some Yotas behind us who decided not to try it:

One way into the TOD, Supsa got wedged against this dead tree and popped out his front drivers side window and I had to winch the tree a little bit out of his way:

We decided to head up to a different entrance to the TOD about 20 feet further up the Isabelle trail and it was kinda sloppy. At the top a little further down the Isabelle trail we found this waterfall, and one very sketchy bridge:

When we finished the TOD we decided to head over to the Rockface. Supsa trying:

He slid off the trail and needed to winch up:

Then I tried and got into a little trouble, my tires weren't gripping the wet and muddy rock at all. :thumbsdown:

I ended up having to winch up part of the rockface because my back end was getting pushed into the hillside.

Then we headed down the same line Horus came up on:

We decided to hit up Stair Step (or is it Step Up?) after that:

After that we headed over to Rhinoland:

I got a little hung up on a rock and was able to back off of it with Sam and my buddy Kyle pushing the on the front of my jeep.

We ran Grumpys and Cable after that and played on the the sand hill climbs under the powerlines and then headed out and aired up:

I had alot of fun, and I think everyone else did too. It was nice to meet you Sam, I hope the drive home wasn't too cold. :lol:

It's one of my favorites, too bad the first area we hit (Trail of Doom and Lake Isabelle) is due to be shut down soon, because of the Wild Sky legislation I believe.
