Red Bird Trail Cleanup

That sucks Craig, hope you run across something better all around. Not sure if I'll have an extra spot in the Jeep yet but I'm sure someone else will have an open seat. We're heading out from my house Friday, early afternoon, if you still want to go you're more than welcome to ride down there with us.

Thanks for the offer. I might just drive the car down. I will know more by Friday.

Craig,Hope everything works out....I'll have Patty make your favorite desert and bring it with me.Just say the word.

Nick

Are you going? To lazy to read back thru this thread.

Lost the entire weekend to travel with a death in the family returning home Tuesday. Leaving me Wed/Thurs to get the buggy running...

I plan to leave Friday around noon or so putting me there around 4pm.

I can bring something if we are potlucking one of the nights.

mac 'redbird is less than half the trip here to NY' gyvr

I am planning on bringing my cooking contraption and whipping up about 10# of steak fajitas for Friday evening, so if anyone else wants to bring stuff to add to that for a meal/potluck that would be great. I am gonna leave R2CHZ2 at home since we dont have a power source to leave him plugged in to. He is a bit bummed but I promised him he can make the trip to SMORR with me next month :D

After I get there, I will try to post up where we are in the campground. We may have to much of a group for the normal spot. Should still be at Wampler.

I will bring taco sauce (medium) and lettuce.

I am still bringing the generator.

I will supply the steak, tortillas, and the peppers/onions for the cooker oh yeah...and the CHEESE!

Nothing like a spicy dinner fueld with excessive booze to get the weekend started...without running water or flush toilets!! Hell yes, bring on the weekend!!

I'll bring chili, bowls, and spoons.Think ,I will make a double batch(4lbs of meat)hoping that will be enough for anyone who wants some.

Neal said he is going, and planning to fry at least one turkey... possibly two. Sounds like we will have plenty of food otherwise though. Can't wait for some more steak fajitas!

If you can just plug in the intersection of State Rd 54 and County Rd 1500 W near Dugger, you're set. Head south on 1500 W from there for a few miles, when the road forks take the left path and you're there. It took me 2 hours of driving around to find it the first time...

Maybe call Rev to tell you exactly what site we'll be at, dunno if you're bringing the two-place but some of the campsites aren't exactly easy to turn around in.

Brian, this is not the old culdesac we used to go to (that was the first set of lakes on the left when heading south from 54, and on a different county road than this).

Like Brad said, look for road 1500W on the map. The Redbird entrance is literally on the same road, but Redbird is on the North side of 54.

Coordinates near the "fork in the road" near the campsite: 39.01945,-87.222691
Redbird entrance road coordinates: 39.07451,-87.222519
(both on 1500W)

Molly said she is gonna whip up some breakfast for us out of brads camper!

I will be towing the single place. No one to split the two place this trip.

Thanks for the GPS coordinates.

Will anyone be leaving anything at the campground from Friday night to Saturday after wheeling? I imagine that I will probably have to tow from the campsite to redbird...

Also what kind of clean up item's do I need to bring? Chain saw? Shovel? Rake? Anything?

mac 'and thats why you don't sell your single place' gyvr
