Just another minion!
Over the last several months I have noticed an upturn in XJ damage runs...
that is.... runs that send someone home on a trailer....
did I hear something about David T smashing up his rig?
did Kevin H smash the front of his?
What about Marishas rig?
When leaving the sand dunes over thanksgiving I
noticed two XJs that had been rolled.....bad!
Okay...a roll call of sorts here.
Who broke and who hasn't...

Luckily, I have not heard of any injuries...

As for me, A little fender bending from rear tire stuff on Holcomb Creek, lost bumper end cap and fender molding - It's OK, I need to trim anyway.

Last week, splashed through a large puddle at Trabuco Creek and flooded the engine. Had to tow it home, drained oil, changed plugs - got about 1 gallon of water out of the engine. Had to replace TPS and Idle air control motor.

Thanks,

Robert :repair:

we went out and did broncos peak on new years eve day. my buddy rolled his yj but no real damage and i fried a fuse which took ten minutes to diagnose and fix. i was at gordons too thanksgiving but did not see any rolled xjs. oh yeah i got some new rocker damage at broncos peak if that counts. i guess it is time to make rocker guards.

does a busted tail light, dented fender and a dented hatch count? (recent). Also I could add to the list a badly dented drivers door (had to pound it out from inside so that I could open and close the window) from mid November.

Umm..how 'boutt killing horns with mud? that's about it for me...but just about everybody knows I've got a feather light foot with the throttle!

my horns stoped working after i draged them through the mud.. but strangely.... after like 2 months... they worked again :laugh3:

I have a dented bumper cap from backing into a phone booth and a quarter sized dent from a Ford Econoline that got in my way on the front fender... Not trail damage like you were looking for...:D

Jackhammer.

It's not the purty black Jeep it once was, not bad, but the trail scars are starting to show. I guess I'm a wimp, havn't been towed out yet.

I really chewed up my front fenders...oh wait, that was intentional.

Doesn't sound as though things are too bad out there.
Although I am still wondering about Kevin.....
With all the mud out here in the Dez right now...
I'm sure to hear more about some serious 'stuck in the mud'
stories...
Besides...
Chicks dig body damage!
(well....my wife rolls her eyes everytime I come home
with some new dents [does that count?])

Hey Robert... Are you talking about Trabuco Creek as in the one on Rancho Mission Viejo? If so, I'd strongly suggest staying off ranch property. Im with a company that does alot of the work concerning surface and ground water on the ranch so I know what I'm saying. They do have armed gaurds all over constantly patroling the ranch, not rent a cops either. Mostly ex-marines from camp pendalten. So watch yourself if you do go out there. fun trails back in there.... but be prepared that you may be arrested, charged with tresspassing and have your vehicle impounded.

On another note I drove through trabuco creek last week while we were working (dirt road cuts across it). damn thing was flowing about 2.5' deep... scared the piss out on my partner. I just told him to relax and we cruised right through
