Rear shock cross-mounts

Glad to hear your exhaust will work out... you should post some pics when it's all installed :)

Still don't have mine or a tracking number even... getting kinda sick of this. Tried calling and he never answers.

Man that sucks.
I think it would have been easier to move the exhaust than all the trouble the hanger has caused. I have to get a photo bucket account so I can post pics. I will work on it though.

Email the pics and I'll post them for you.

Well I got them today... I believe I waited over 9 weeks from start to finish. I am glad to have the hoop but I will probably not advise anyone to buy from this guy in the future. The hoops seem nice enough, but his customer service was horrid. I hope to get mine installed tomorrow or Sunday if the weather hold out. Will post pics too.

in other news...i got my shocks through the floor...no crossover mount

Diesel-Monday I am going in the shop. I am installing air bumps, shocks and some trusses. I will take some pics and shoot you an E mail. I can't wait. Going from rancho 9000 to fox 2.0 12in travel with 8 way c/a and radflo 3in air bumps. Big change. I have been gathering parts since March.

Usually best to be in the middle, or from my limited experience slightly less than half. You need plenty of rebound travel. When going over a series of bumps or whoops the ride height can actually raise up just a little. You also need plenty of droop in the back to help keep it from kicking up. On a 12" shock I'd go for 5.5" to 6" of shaft showing at ride height.

I am shooting for 6.5 to 7in of exposed shaft at ride height. Does that sound right?

That depends...how much up-travel do you have? Just make sure you have more shock travel than up-travel in the suspension. If you've got 8" of up travel before you hit the stops, then 7" of shock shaft is gonna be a problem.

Nothing is in place yet. I have to set it up. The tires will dictate where I stop it. I have about 6in before the tire hits anything. 6in is what I am shooting for. I am going to use the bump strike pad as my adjustment. I can move them up to the bump stop to get everything dialed in.

Cool. I will take a bunch of pics tommorow and get to you.
I have 6in in the front and 5in in the rear of up travel before the tire contacts anything. I am going to use that as the limit to my up travel. I can't wait till this is done. I have RE springs now but I am getting deavers next month. The re springs have done good but they are old.

I got the lower front shock mounts and started on the bump stop brackets today. Tomorrow we should finish the front and start the rear. Thank god my friend has a fork lift it makes cycling the suspension easy. I will get the pics out when all is done.

I haven't forgot....It is taking longer than expected. I will be done tomorrow. I did have to re route my tail pipe. It all looks really good though.

FWIW, I do have the JKS cross-over mount, installed it last week. My reason was a result of my shocks being too long after swapping in a 44 with TNTs UBEs and high clearance shock mounts:

Sitting at ride hight at the time, I did end up gaining a little bit of travel after getting some of the parts out of the back of the Jeep, and rearranging some stuff.

Thats about a 9 1/2" RC shock with worn out, 3.5" Procomp leafs and 1 1/2" TNT UBEs.

Looks like you are sitting at about 2" off your bumpstops (well, the one that is still there :D) at ride height, how does that feel through the rollers? Looks like a buckfest to me, do the rear tires stay on the ground?

Haven't gotten the chance to wheel it yet, I still have a little more lift coming though, I have shackle relocation brackets I need to install, so that may help some. OME leafs and shackles are also coming soon, to get the back end up where it needs to be.

Interesting. I always thought that the Cross bracket mounted closer to the floor than that.......
