rear seating

wasnt sure what forum to post this under...

but i was wondering what options people have gone with for rear seating, then bench is getting pretty hammered. looking at all option from two bench seats to a new bench any info/ideas would help.

I saw here some time ago a tread on modified seating, and some one put up a picture of a modified rear seat area, with 2 front seat in the back and a center console, he added that he made this ajustment for his kids car seat. He did a prety good job. It look good.
Maybe some else remember this also and can give you a lead on were to look.

Red 01 XJ on here did it...he used WJ seats actually. I am thinking about following his lead actually since I will be installing WJ fronts later this week.

WJ and ZJ rears will work with some trimming to the lower cushions.

The main difference between the two is the ZJ has the smaller split side on the left and the WJ has the split on the right.

You can probably get the rear bench re-upholstered and foamed for less than $70. May be a good option.

i was thinking of replacing the bench with a single bucket seat so I could have extra cargo space for those long trips, since i dont plan on carrying more than 3 people. anyone seen that before?

thanks for all the links, took some diggin but finally found what i was looking for. planning on "murderin" out the xj this summer and new seats are in order. thanks again!
