I will have a 3-link rear with a V-style upper link and i know where to mount them. I'm still in decision where to mount the coilover shock and what length to match the front 17" shocks. Any ideas?
Not to say that all this custom fab work isn't cool( believe me I wish I could build 1/4 of the stuff some of you guys build) But if you want a coil spring rear why don't you just get a ZJ and skyjack it?

1) I enjoy engineering and building my own rig. Everybody has their own level of challenge. For some installing bolt on equipment challenges their mechanical ability. I am proud of the people; they know their limits and are pushing them. Some don't have that much ability and depend on shops to do their work. Again, that is their thing. For me the satisfaction that comes from engineering and faricating my own equipment is what it is about.
2) I don't care for the ZJ/WJ body. I have owned a couple as daily driver's but never cared for them. Yes they are capable but they are not an XJ.
3) A ZJ "skyjack"ed would be just that: a suspension designed for road manners with a bolt on aftermarket lift. Fine for some peolple but not what I want.
So, not to be rude, but when is that going to be? I'm starting the conversion this weekend, but I'd like to look at some pictures for ideas, help, etc...

OK, seriously, i want to put that D70 HD that's already sitting in my garage and a D 60 front under the XJ put a coil over suspension on it (because that's the only way to get the needed lift) and slam 44 meats under it.
But i live in germany and i have to determine rear height before ordering stuff because shipping is real expensive (you can't get the needed parts over here).
But it seems that nobody here has an idea of where to mount those coil overs in the rear nor about the length.
