Re: Introducing the Arizona Members ONLY Forum

Cg 4 wheelers has a 50/50 drawing at every meeting. $1 a ticket 6 for $5 Half to the club, half to the winner. Make this a members only drawing at M&G's, Runs, camp trips, potlucks etc....
Generate some funds for the chapter. Sometimes the pot is twice what your yearly dues are. Its out in the open for all to see. It works for us should work here as well.

I like that idea! Its something that we had not thought of and definitely warrants some discussion by the BOD.

UPDATE: I have just brought your idea up to the BOD for consideration. Thank you again for a great idea

BTW, I try to hop in members chat whenever I am on. This is another way we can have discussions...in fact I'm in there now...

Re: Introducing the Arizona Members ONLY Forum

Don't get your hopes up folks. Technically that setup IS gambling. We're going to work on something. Charlie thank for the idea.

Re: Introducing the Arizona Members ONLY Forum

How often do you guys hold meetings? That sounds like a good way to generate some cash.
We have meeting once a month runs the first and third Saturday of the month. Crawling tires in the Az city parade this saturday. Do highway clean ups, Tech days, we are very active.

Technically so is Bingo at the church social. Its just a raffle with a cash prize. Like every other raffle by every Non-profit organization including this one.

It is a lot easier to be active in a local club though, I don't see people from Tucson driving to Pheonix, or from Havasu to Tucson once a month for an hour long meeting. Quarterly might be more feasible. The BOD doesn't have to plan every event, I heard a Meet and Greet in Tucson back in September. I have been trying to gauge interest in having a meeting/members run/wrenching at my house and there seems to be no interest.

Re: Introducing the Arizona Members ONLY Forum

The state of Arizons also says we need to have mudflaps. lol. If it gets our funds up and brings more prople out to the runs I am for it. Monthly would be tough, but sounds like a fun one time event to test it out and see what kind of reaction we get from the club.

Re: Introducing the Arizona Members ONLY Forum

And the lobsterdmb informed us that it is illegal in AZ, here is the link: http://www.gm.state.az.us/misc-pdf/TopGamingViolations.pdf

Sorry this took so long been busy at work. Here are the exclusions to your link on raffles .http://www.azleg.state.az.us/FormatDocument.asp?inDoc=/ars/13/03302.htm&Title=13&DocType=ARS
Cg 4 wheelers have been compliant since 1972. Don't know if this chapter is even registered non-profit in this state. If not it should be.

Somehow we are still missing the base fact that there isn't enough interest in this club to justify ANY of these wonderful ideas. Look at the amount of people who care wnough to debate... you have 4 members of the BOD, me, dominik, and 1 person giving advice??? 7 people who give a crap enough to try so instead of biquering amongst ourselves maybe we should only focus on making the 7 in to a 70 or atleast a 17. And ild be willing to bet things start falling in to place. We all obviously care deeply for the success of this club, so we, as the few, must add membership. Nothing else at this point should even be a focus of our energy.

Re: Introducing the Arizona Members ONLY Forum

We're not going to get new members through the forum it'self . Everyone needs to siply wheel as much as possible and meet more people on the trails !

Re: Introducing the Arizona Members ONLY Forum

What if we as a group contacted a radio station and where willing to do a trail clean-up and invited people to join in. I know that Mega 104.3 has a section to do these things on I believe for FREE. That would get the word out!!!!!!!!!!!
