RE bracket kit for D44 front - UCA bushing question

I can only remember one spring, the one that's about 3" in diameter that is right behind the dial. Is that the one you guys are talking about? It's the one that makes sh*t go boing when it's slapped against a few rocks? I like that spring, it's cool and yes I put them in.

I figure one more run and I'll be able to inspect it better. :D

That's the one. Since I only have one spring, I'll try to assemble the hubs without them and see if everything works alright. My search criteria must be too specific or something because I get nothing when searching here or on the PBB.

Look I found a picture of one.

On my Warn lockout hubs, there is a spring, but it is inside the hub mechanism and you would never really see it on normal lockout removal. I believe stock lockout hubs often used a different construction that had springs that got removed separate from the hub itself. When putting my hub together, I slide the hub/rotor on with bearings and seals, install the inner wheel bearing nut, then the keyed washer and align it with the pin on the inner wheel bearing nut (after being torqued and then backed off a touch), then the outer wheel bearing nut. Then the Warn hub inner piece is installed with the large snapring and then small snap ring is installed on the outer axle shaft. Finally, the lockout hub cap is tapped in place and the long small bolts are threaded into the Warn hub inner piece. Job finished. No big coil springs to actually install anywhere. The coil spring in the Warn hub inner piece is normally already in that subassembly with no need to do anything with it. Jeff

That answered my question completely. Thanks.
