Can't complain too much. Had a good time regardless. I was just really surprised to find that many people out there.

You'll pretty much find crowded campgrounds / recreation areas, anywhere on the Northcoast over holiday weekends. All the big city folks escape to the woods, only to find all the other big city folks doing the same thing.

The weather had a lot to do with it. This year was a really wet one up here. Had lots of rain all the way through the end of June. So even the locals hit the campgrounds to enjoy the sun....

You should try it again in the off season if you can, like when kids are back in school. It really is quite peaceful and serene. Most of the time when I go there, there's no more than a dozen vehicles, if that.
