i found some explorer mono leafs while looking for an 8.8. what are the 1/4 elliptical possibilities with those springs? worth a try??

Can anyone possibly list which springs they have performed this with successfully. I have an 89 with a 3" lift and I will cut those up if they will work or go out and find something else. I know this may be really stupid to ask but is it possible to do this in the front also. Thanks

Yes, you can do it in the front also. It's just a spring, the rest of the linkage and geometry remains as it would for any other spring design.

The nice thing about using Ford leaves is that they are 3 inch wide, giving more rate per leaf than the 2.5" wide OEM springs. If you wanted to pivot them from the stock mount, the ider spring will make that a bit of a challenge......
