Q's about tires for 04 GC

Someone told me that my brother would have to trim and raise his 04 GC to get 235 to fit.
His tires are 225/75/R16.
I don't know how true the guy was?
My other brother has 225/60/R16 tires on his vehicle he is taking off. Will these fit the GC or no?

All the numbers in a tire size are used to determine the dimensions.

A 225/60R16 (8.9" x 26.6") is the same width but smaller diameter than a 225/75R16 (8.9" x 29.3").

Now when you say a 235, what are the rest of the numbers? 235/75R16 (9.3" x 29.9") and 235/85R16 (9.3" x 31.7") are taller and wider than a 225/75R16; even a 245/75R16 (9.6" x 30.5") may fit where the 235/85R16 may not.

I would hazard a guess that a 235/75R16 would fit without a problem.

235/ 75/16 would most likely be the size he gets if gets them that big.

We had 245/75R16 BFG AT KO's on my wife's 99 WJ with no problems. It was her daily driver and was never driven offroad.

Cool. He wants either BFG AT KO's or Bridgestone A/T Revos. Something it in the ballpark.
