I wish I could turn it off while the jeep is running.

I did it myself with wally world switches... It was fairly easy and this is before i knew much about wiring

If I turn the unit off with the engine running the transmission defaults to OD and will not shift until the computer has been reset.

thats really awesome but those look like toggle switches when you flip from first to 2nd do you have to unflip 1 st and then flip 2nd how does that work if there was a way to have a shifter type controller that would be awesome

how time consuming is the installation?

after a little more reading those questions are answered...
that is a really awesome setup and pretty cheap for what it does

installation took me about 2 hours.

The shifter toggle is a momentary input, one SPDT(on)off(on) switch does it for me, and one SPST on-off for the torque converter.

If you do that please post up some pictures and the routing of wiring through your dash and console.
