I've only done the bypass also. I've been wanting to try it. Maybe next time. Watching my buddy do it the first time was pretty cool.

Also i got a puppy!! Her name is Desna.
That is why you never put a locker on a stock d35. And the log trick worked really well to get the jeep out!!! Only downside is you can not reverse without it almost falling off.
I am also picking up an xj d44 on friday! Do you know what gears they came with stock? The guy im buying it from said its got 3.55 with a posi, is that accurate for stock?

You need new u bolts for the 44 tho sure you knew that but the d35 bolts are smaller lol

8.25 has 3" tubes 35/44 have 2.75". Afaik
Hopefully it does have 3.55s you can check by spinning the axle shaft and counting how many times the yoke turns. Or crack the cas should be stamped with the teeth counts

Dang...so new ubolts are needed. Anyone have an amazon link to a set of good ones that i can get with prime?
Also....iv got a steering question. So I put in a new aftermarket high pressure steering line, and ever since i put it in it feels like there is a detent in one spot of my steering. It repeats itself with every 360 of the wheel. Any ideas what could be causing that?
