Project Geosynchronous Orbit

Made some good progress the past few days.

Tacked up Trail Tech Fab doubler adapter to set the NP205 clocking angle.

Built this transmission mount, uses 80s camaro bushings. Recessed some tubing into the crossmember so I don't drag anymore bolt heads than I have to. At the same time I had to lower my crossmember in order to clear the front driveshaft. I might even have to outboard my control arms.

NP241 mounted, clocked up.

NP205 mounted next with TTFs rear support mount. I don't want to crack the NP241 casing.

Whipped up this bolt on mount for the bushing. Uses (3) 3/8-16 bolts that thread into the tapped secondary crossmember (.250" wall). I plan to use this crossmember in the future for rear link mounts, so I used 2x4 with .250" plates that bolt into the tapped frame rail with 1/2-20 bolts (5 per side).

Mounted up.

Viewed from below. I plan on running 3 connecting bars between the main crossmembers and building a bellypan for it. Everything will be bolt-on since I don't want to have to drop a 100 lb subframe all at once.

nice work sir. to bad it took us a whole day to figure out how to completly screw up somthing a simple as a trans mount

I dont think that rear cross member is going to work... It says ross on it.

when your ready to wheel it it will be full of cardboard boxes and cats

that things gonna run like chit with no cam or valves

YOU DONT KNOW "CHIT" ABOUT ENGINES.

If he keeps it at 8500 rpms the valves are gonna float anyway. whats it matter that he is missing valves and cams? duh, go read a book for once.

Apparently a 2 month break from the forums wasn't enough, you should go back to annoying people from your own chapter.

(I am sure I am not making any friends in colorado by suggesting that)

Didn't get as much done this weekend as I'd hoped, but I plan on doing some work on the nights this week since it's supposed to be in the 70s everyday.

Traction bar moved to the passenger side, shackle mounted to the rear crossmember.

Subframe connectors. Going to plate these with 1/4" with countersunk bolts.

Going to redo the transmission mount to the doubler adapter this week due to some advice from friends/vendor.

Badass. Can't wait to see it on the trail again, looks like you're getting closer.

so let me get this right, you drilled some holes, tacked a couple bars and mooved a traction bar, big whoop
