The bolts on the shackles will be replaced with grade 8 bolts.

with that much wheelbase and width, I would increase the lift height if I were you; the breakover angle is going to kill you. also, it doesn't look like you turned the knuckles, when you get a driveshaft bolted up to that low pinion you will see how much this is needed. as I've mentioned many times before, plan on hydro-assist (or a panhard).

oh, and I will be making fun of that bumper, just to warn ya :laugh3: I like mine where it's just barely in view from the driver's seat.

Dr. Sawzall is calling for that bed.

Should be fun learning how to re-drive all of your favorite obstacles with that much width. Have fun!

Shortened wheelbase is on the list, I will probably go to about 110". I have most of the parts for the hydro conversion. As for the stinger, I am just compensating

What backspacing are you running on those wheels?

Also, I didn't see it listed in your post, but I'm guessing that is a full width Chevy D44?

Any plans for hi-steer?
Full width chebby dana 44, uknown backspacing, but they have as much backspacing as possible without interfering with the steering. No plans for hi-steer, I have a nice crossover steering setup that keeps the tie rod up high.

I will be running a dana 300, I haven't bought it yet, but should have it by the end of next month.

Here are some flex shots, I am limited because of the fenders, if I cut them I could probably get another 4"...yet another testament to the leaf springs ability to flex!

I have them, I just took measurements on monday and I have been extremely busy with work and school so I haven't had time to get them mounted. It is surprisingly stable without them.

Update time!...I got the 300 in and shortened up the wheelbase
Billy, sorry I didn't answer your question, it is a stock 300 and I will be getting the 4:1 kit soon :D

I got rid of the mickey thompson MT's, they chunked on da rocks, so I traded them in for some MTR's, can anyone guess the tire size?

I knew you would spoil my fun brett. I am at 112", seems to be a good length, esp. with the extra tire. I LOVE my MTR's. My dick cepec mudcountrys were chunking BAD. I wanted to run 37" tires, but I was afraid of breaking. When my chance came to get these bad boys, I couldn't pass the deal up. I wanted to be narrower and I was able to get quite a bit narrower with the new rims. I only have a few things to do, I have the diamondplate for the flat bed, I need to finish setting up my OBA, put shocks on, roll-cage, sliders, etc.

I was thinking of doing part of Fordyce, but if you've got other good stuff near Reno we can do that. Phil has 35s and a detroit in the rear. I've already heard from a few that are gonna try and come, I'll probably post up a big invite on the Sierra chapter board soon.
