I chose to run rotella because a lot of the reading I did, many more used rotella and one guy did a oil analyst on the rotella after using it in his jeep for 5k miles and the results had came back that he could have gone longer. I don't plan to try those long distance oil changes but its nice knowing your oil has the ability to be able to last that long and do good. It was either bobistheoilguy or another site that showed that 5w40 T6(full synthetic) and a certain wix filter(went by another name) was the best choice so I figured a napa gold and a half mix(T5) would be close enough lol

I'd recommend looking at running a WIX #51515 sized filter. It's significantly larger than the stock size (~1/2 quart), and threads right on.

That WIX looks about the same size as the oversize filter I run. I've ran the Motorcraft FL1A for quite some time with no issues. I really like the idea of the oversize filters. More oil capacity, and more filter material. :thumbup:
