i have a build thread going in the colorado chapter and had a few questions about coil springs and it was suggested i ask here...my question is:
i need your guys opinionon some coil springs...i currently have some 5" springs of an unkown brand and acos's raised up an inch in the front. This flexes really well but the springs are very soft, i get lots of body roll when rallying and they are waay to soft for jumping anymore, and the springs are starting to bow while the jeep is just parked. Since im planning of doing some go fast this summer i wanna ditch the acos and just get a 5.5-6.5" spring thats stiff enough for going fast/jumping but will still flex well for normal wheeling. Ive owned a pair of the 6" skyjacker coils in the past and they felt really good rallying but i never got to do much crawling with them. I wanted to know what you guys recomment for front springs, right now im thinking either deaver jeepspeed 5.5" coils or the 6" skyjackers. The skyjackers will be a lot easier on the wallet so im leaning towards those, but i really wanted some opinions before buying anything.
p.s. I know just buying new springs wont make my jeep ready to go out and jump, but i wanna get the springs situated first then get some bilstein 5150s and eventually either air bumps or the evs bumps
Heres a link to the build thread if anyone wants to check it out: http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1075193
And heres a pic of my jeep in its current state, trying to get it ready to do a little crawling/racing this summer
