Possible relo to CO, are you guys still accepting appications?

Wow! Thanks guys for the insight. The wife and I are also contemplating a move to CO. Both of us though would transfer in our current companies.

Hows the commerical/industrial construction market out there??
BTW, Damn we made a killing on DIA.

Not sure if I am ready to actually live on a hill though.

misconception....the inbred morons all moved to Nederland, CO............

Damn XJeeper, what you got against little old Nederland now?

Just because they have some old dead guy on ice up there?

SeanP emissions will depend where you live, usually by county. Denver is the worst, Larimer county (Ft Collins/Loveland) is every two years, with roadside testing vans so usually you don't even have to go to the testing station. Pretty easy to get through.

Old vehicles > 25 years are tested once, then I think only again on resale. If the motor is newer than the truck, no problem. If the vehicle was smogged in CA it will pass easily here.

If you live in the mountains or on the plains (not the front range) there are no air tests. I know plenty of such vehicles registered in Weld County.

I read about the poly's heading to CO. Fortunately they will be at least 8 hours away. I may pass them by when headed to the Avalanche Ranch.

Everyone knows that the real freaks hang out in Boulder.

I thought sheet metal and Moab were always supposed to be real cozy with each other, seeing as they end up together more often than not...

It's what happens when they split up. Real tough on the kids.

Moab is great, Utah and the Poly's are just part of it's history.
You and your sisters would love it here in the north. Ha.

Well, after some long discussions, we are 99% sure that we will be arriving in CO sometime around mid-March. Just need to finish and sell 4 vehicle projects (75 3/45 ton Chevy tow rig, 93 altima DD, 98 5.9 GC, 87 blown 5.0 Saleen Mustang), finish all the house projects, sell the house, find a house, find a job.

Now remember, I'm an Iowa boy NOT A CALIFORNICATOR ;)

I'll make sure to drop into one of your meetings. BTW, I have a 97 XJ all beat to hell with one ton running gear, atlas and cage.

see you all soon,

SeanP

...if you need a place to "park" the 'stang, i'd be happy to offer up my garage.

would just need a set of keys so i could <ahem> move it out of the way occasionally. :D

What's two more gonna hurt.

Live south of Denver. Pass on that Boulder Area crowd.

Call me if you need anything before you get here. I promise to answer my phone when I see your Caller ID this time. :P

Where can I look south of Denver that I can get .3-.5 ish acres, decent school district for under $300K? What about HOAs and building restrictions that would keep me from building a 20x40 shop?

I am bringing the CNC plasma table, tig, mig, brake and plan on still building some custom fab stuff in CO. I will need a real job too though.

you won't be moving anywhere near Denver if I don't get that application fee soon, :wierd:

Eastern Douglas County. Elizabeth Area. HOAs are very liberal, but the folks aren't. :D

Now with all that equipment you don't want to be to far BIGoffroad World Headquaters. Elizabeth would be perfect for me...I mean you.

Sean belongs in CO.

He works on his rig all the time and has a hard time showing up for wheeling trips. :looser:
