first off im not sure if this is in teh right place if it is not i apolgize..

I have been contemplating building up my jeep for a while to make it just and off road vehicle. but i dont think it would be very practical since my car isnt a good winter car and i need the jeep for the winter.. so i was looking at the bruiser 2 chassis from poison spyder customs (https://www.spydercustoms.com/index2.php)

just wondering if anyone here has bought one of these chasis or knows someone who has.. just wondering of the quality of there work.. any input on this would be helpful ie. best suspension compontents to use and best axles to put under it.. hopefully if this is the route i go i will have the chasiss by the spring

Thanks for any help

Poison Spyder has an excellent reputation and people seem to swear by their products, so I can't imagine buying one of their chassis kits could be a bad thing.

But I dunno why you'd ask your question in a forum devoted to the preservation and modification of the Jeep Cherokee XJ......

Maybe head over to Pirate 4X4 where there's likely to be a whole lot more people with custom chassis vehicles.

Don't mean to sound like an arse, but it's an XJ thing.... maybe you don't understand.......... :dunno:

dont mind yellaheep -
there is a reason that we keep him in CO :D

i encourage you to look at other chasis as well -
www.bluetorchfab.com makes the fusion chassis that is one of the coolest chasis that i ahve seens

there is a company that makes an "X-chassis" but the name hides from me at the moment.

YELLAHEEP- no offense taken.. dont get me wrong i love my xj and would love to go all out on it. but at this time i still need it to be a daily driver so going all out on it just isnt and option right now..

XJ_ranger- thanks for the link

BTF is also in AL, so the shipping would likely be lots less than from CA.

I am liking the Wicked Fabrications Malvado Grande chassis, but they are out of CA as well...

My next toy will be based of one or the other, probably BTF since I could pick it up myself and save some.

Hendrix.

I agree with Woody about the Malvado chassis.

Also check out Twisted Customs, Shaffer's Offroad, S&N Fab, Badlands Offroad, etc.

Evolution Machine in Canada makes a great one, search pirate4x4 for the Scorrow buggy.

well woddy, you are talking to someone that makes a drive yearly from CA to NE, and id bet that shipping from NE to NC wouldnt be as bad as CA to NC...
