Last I heard, he drove it to the trail, and to Quaker Steak a couple times a month. Might be seeing more dd duties lately, I dunno...
It's not a big deal, it just seems like that's the point that people quit driving them. Whether the ride and handling get too bad, or the tires and parts get too expensive, everybody I know gets that big and parks it.
That's the main reason I've been able to resist. (That and I'm profoundly cheap.) I really like driving mine every day, for almost ten years now. I'm not about to do that much work and spend that much money, to spoil my good thing...

As far as the Impala over anything else...these are cheaply purchased...so we will never see anything that is as fun as those other cars...

I was actually impressed with the Tauras Interceptor on Top Gear US, granted the two idiots driving the Impala and Charger didn't help in the comparison.
I love that van. What are the details on the IH Scout in the back?
Scout is a 1970 factory 1/2 cab 304 3spd. Switching it to automatic Dana 20 and already have a 44 for the front. I'm going to propane seeing how propanes about $2.50 a gallon here and restore it for cruising around. If I get the right price I'll sell it or not I'll crawl it. NO RUST anywhere other than surface rust on paint.
I'd sure like to get my hands on the twin turbo Taurus motor in the Police interceptor. Shoot it's all wheel drive too and stops on a dime. Back to the drawing board General Obama Motors.

I love them too. Use to have a 68 Bronco and a 67 in college but they are too expensive, and everyone wants gold for them. I think they've over priced them. Here's a pic of the Scout! Check out the Econoline I'm looking at while your at and my 95 XJ.

Boss Cherokee, I love the econoline. My grandpa used to have a 64. It sat at the farm for years, and after he passed we tried to/pull it out to restore it but the body was too far gone. I loved that old truck!

These were my dds last summer.
~10 hrs a day in the combine, ~ 900 total for me.

LOL, we have a 2188 as well, but we are set up with duals up front along with the mud hog rear. I personally own the JD4840 and a 1953 IH Cub but the family has a Case 4WD, a JD 4840, a JD 7775 and we jointly are in on the 2188. We have a few stuck pics of ours as well, I will see what I can find...it was 2 different stucks in the same day in the same wet spot with the same driver...and NO it was not me, it was my FIL...moron sometimes. :farmer:
