Parts and an XJ - Optima, ft hubs, springs and leafs - in MA

NAXJA Forum User
Folks,

I have some good parts on my not so good 94 Cherokee that I'll be junking soon, very, very soon.

Optima Battery - got it replaced (for free) by Costco this time last year. 99% sure it's a 34/78, but will check this evening. Never run down, might be a bit dusty though. Pick up only - $75

Up Country suspension - coils, leafs, shocks, struts, and control arms - these were take offs when another dude upgraded. I never put them on mine. These have some light surface rust but are other wise in perfect shape. Great replacement for your warn out springs! Pick up only - $150

Timken front hubs - Bought these and never installed them. I think I paid $130 each. I'm looking for $200 for the pair - including 6 brand new Jeep bolts - the crazy 12 point ones that cost $6 each at the dealer. Again pick up only as they are heavy.

Oh, and I have a 94 4.0 AW4 XJ w 174ish K miles in need of a master cylinder and some front end attention. It's been sitting for the past eleven months (though my Dad does start it up from time to time). It has a nice newish readiator, new gas tank, good wheels and tires and other random parts that I've had to fix here and there. Ran well when the master cylander died and I just stopped messing with it.

Just found a run down in my email on the Jeep:

*Here's the notable bad stuff:*
- Was hit in the right rear (see pics).
- Gate hydrolics are shot - included custom fence post to hold up the gate!
- Rocker panels have rust through.
- Interior light doesn't work.
- Front needs work (hubs, axles maybe)
- Brakes are gone
- Failed inspection last time (last year) as they said I needed to address the front end looseness and noise.

*Wow, that's quite a list! Okay, here's what's good:*
- Valve cover gasket replaced - no leaks!
- New gas tank, fuel pump, and straps last year
- New GDI 3 Row Radiator two years ago
- Replaced the bushings on the wipers - no slop
- Wheels off a 2000 Wrangler are in good shape.
- The tires aren't perfect, but have some milage left in them.
- The full size spare (and Goodyear) are unused - brand new.

If you want the Jeep - and can get it out of there (remember, no master cylinder = no drivey), you can have all the of the above parts for $375.

Some pics are here:

Sorry, the stereo is not included. :)

The parts and Jeep are in Hanover, MA. Ping me if you're interested.

I'd really prefer these go to someone on NAXJA as you guys were all so helpful when I got my ol' XJ.

Thanks,
Tom

Folks,
Had a lot of interest so far, but no firm commitments. I'm going to be in Hanover tonight cleaning the old beast out, so I'll be available. Also, not looking to generally part out the Jeep. Just going to clean it out and send if off to pasture - unless someone here wants it.
Thanks,
Tom

The Optima is a 35/75.

Going to put it on the charger tomorrow and see what it's story is. If it's unhappy, I'll get a new one under warranty.

XJ Beater - the whole kit and kaboodle for $375. If I get a brand new Optima for ya, call it $400.

Looks like the hubs are sold. Will update tonight once the buyer actually does some buying.
Thanks,
Tom

Some pics of the stuff. Please only click the high res images if you really want to see them. They are 6Mb each.

Hubs and six fresh bolts:

Close up of the hub on the right - notice some minor surface rust. This one had noticably less oil on it from Timken.

Suspension set up. Yeah, there's some surface rust on the leafs. You'll want to hit them with some a couple coats of rustoleum or something similar before install anyway. But check out all that's included! :)

1994 Jeep Service Manual and addendum. $50 if you pick it up, $60 shipped (via the cheapest method I can find, this is heavy)

I also have an XJ cup holder that's mint except for some scuffs where the center console compartment door closes. First dibs to the folks who actually show up (argh!) and buy the other parts. If no one wants it I'll ship it to whoever wants it. $12 shipped and paypalled.

Thanks,
Tom

Looks like the UpCountry stuff is going to a fellow NAXJA member. The service manual, cupholder, and hubs are still available.

Up Country Suspension is gone.

Thanks to XJ_Xtreme for being a nice guy and actually showing up! :)

What's your question? Have you never seen an aftermarket XJ cupholder?

Hi. I know you don't want to sell small parts, but I really need the little 18" or so rubber seal that goes between the door and bottom of the window (drivers side front) to seal the gap (it just presses down in and is retained by friction), and the blower motor resistor assembly. I'm also interested in your FSM (I have one, but it's starting to fall apart). Perhaps you could give me a package deal? Shipping would be to 04937 (just a bit North of you :). Thanks! Michael
PS PayPal waiting.
