Out with the old, in with the new

I have been dealing with the P.O.S 1990 cherokee not running right for almost a year now and cannot figure out what is wrong with it so I replaced it. LOL Out with the old in with the new to me 97 country edition fully loaded.

Picked this one up for $500.00 with a bad motor. I have a couple of those laying around so that is not a problem. Has minor surface rust on the rockers and bottom of the front doors along with some rust on the back hatch where there is a dent but minor. EVERYTHING will be swapped from the current blue one to the new blue one.

Gonna be wierd wheeling something so new and clean. The interior is damn close to mint. Jeep also came with all service records since 23,000 miles and it currently has 231,000. Can't wait to get this thing on the trail!!!!

Very nice! What are you doing with the leaf springs? Are they wore out?

I didnt' look closely at the leaf springs. I assume they are original at 231,000, I will have to check the folder to see if they replaced them at all. I will not have a use for the leaf springs. If you get your name in red and support the club, they are yours for free.

Thanks Pat. Dan, I honestly don't know. It will probably come down to a last minute decision. I want to take the new one, but I want to have the wife wheel hers there also. But I sure like the sound of metal and glass on trees and the wife won't allow that on hers.

Nice, what about a rear hitch? I don't know what you have on the 90? I need one. If one is rusty and it is just surface, that is no problem. I have a friend who owns a metal company with a sand blaster.
