Oregon - September!

MUCH discussion going on lately (by a few of us up here in Western Washington) about coming down to pay you folks a visit!

I'm off work the 12th thru the 16th of September and my wife and I are taking a well deserved vacation. We've been talking about going to the Oregon coast for the last few months but can modify our plans to get some wheeling in!

...so...I know it's a bit early for those of us that went to Evans... I'm still trying to get the CONCRETE (mud) off to see the underside...

Question is: Do you guys in Oregon just want us to tell you when we're coming? If I come down with my wife (alone) I will need to keep the wheeling mild to moderate as this is the same rig that will have to take me home...

Thoughts? Discussion? You guys listening? Hey Eastern Washington/Idaho, you can chime in here too!!

Though I will be in Clackamas for a Utah CCW class on the 11th, I had plans to head back that night. If others will be down there I might just go ahead and hang out...

CCW, not Amateur radio. Opposite ends of the spectrum.

There's a guy in OR who teaches a concealed carry class for the State of Utah (who issues licenses to out of state folks). Utah has reciprocity with about 30 states, including WA. Since my WA license expires soon and we don't have reciprocity with any 'useful' states, I figured this would be worth it.

Still looking into the Ham thing though, don't worry. :repair:

Does WA have a class you have to take? I know us OR peeps can get a WA CCW but I'm not sure what it entails. I want to get my WA one so when I go into Vancouver I don't have to worry about it. Plus it would be nice for my trips to Seattle to visit my brother.

And as far as wheelin in September a bunch of us from Timbercrawler are planning on a TSF run on the 27th which is a Tuesday. Its being called the "Fawk work, I'm goin wheelin" run.

No class for WA... What's funny about this deal is that I'm taking the class in OR for Utah, but the UT license still won't be good in OR. :laugh3: Oh well, good in many other states I visit, including WA. Good enough for me. Have to get my OR one later.

I was over at my buddies shop the other day and he said they were plannin a Sat or Sun trip there in the next few weeks. They've been there a number of times and I think know it pretty well. They tend to do more mild stuff cause they don't want to hurt their shiny rigs but its an option. He's supposed to let me know when they set a date to go.
