Operation Overcompensation

Don't you have other things to do before you can consider getting new tires? ;)

Yeah G, like a properly functioning XJ :laugh2:

On a completely other note, I would like to give LARGE props to Warn. They have provided me with some excellent service and not only warrantied my broken hub, but they next day aired the item without my request. In the past as well, they have sent me parts for my bumper, sliders, and skids overnight.

My point, in addition to providing great products, they stand behind them and the customer service is top notch.

Please support Warn, you will not be let down. :)

We understand ;)

Time to get a new girlfriend. One who understands your needs.

G, save up for the MT/Rs. For the street, so far, they are great!

Thanks asshole. Now you've given me another reason to want MT/R's. Damn expensive tires.

(My Mud Rovers locked up in the rain a couple weeks ago  )

*nod*. I have been unable to break my MT/R's loose in the rain, even gunning it around corners with a detroit. The inside wheel will actually hop and not spin. :)

I can get my 35's to spin, with a detroit locker........ but they're behind a 7.3L powerstroke. (it need a little turbo pressure though).

All in all great tires on and off the road. I have a little more than 15K on mine and still have better than 60% tread left.

...Now if I only had the time to DO all this I'd be much happier. Unfortunatly the girlfriend gets a little irritated if I leave her to work on the Jeep every weekend (some here might understand that...)

Not married?

Time to train her, G. :D

You guys gotta be kidding.
I think MT/Rs are terrable in the rain. Predictable, yes, a predictable lack of traction.

BTW, your junk is lookin' good Crackah.

I don't think that anyone else here is going to admit to being wipped. You did say girl friend, huh? Not wife?

:D
Good Luck

Well Jes, Cal and I are coming from BFG MTs that were, pretty gone. The new meats feel good out there in the rain. Sh!t, I have trouble with my 35" BFG ATs in the rain at 50 MPH but the MT/Rs didn't do that to me.

Thanks. It'll be dialed in soon and then we'll cage it. Focusing on having it ready for the beginning of May ;)

Suuure...

Wow. Interesting words coming from a guy who is so pusy-whipped he can't get his own junk running, in ANY QUALITY condition.

See you in November :flame:

You're right, the next time you junk runs will be November, 2007

I will be wife free for 3 months. I'll get it done. :D

:kissyou:

I can't work on it (much) this weekend. I have to spend quality time with my wife since she is heading out to China for three months and tomorrow I head to Taiwan for business for a week.

Got a new muffler today though :D

Here is a better pic of it somewhat complete:

As far as what is left to do, not too much that I can do alone. I will be putting the Novak shifter in, placing the TC skid back on, and a couple other odds and ends. All to be completed the week when I get back from Taiwan.

In the mean time I hope to get a new air intake and a new on board air set up installed. Possibly some new leafs since mine are still bent :gag:

The big sh!t will be done hopefully in April. A good friend has offered to help me turn my XJ into a tank with a roll cage and frame re-inforcement. I will also open the rear wheel well towards the back, push the rear axle back one inch, and remove the rear lower quarter panel(s) for better clearance (since they are already smashed :D). Since the front end will be off anyway I will have a new steering box/pump at that time then too (why do it twice?).

I think you need to trim the body alittle more above the rear wheel.

See you in May brotha..:D

Man, looks like the fenders were hacked by a blind retard standing in the middle of a dry lake bed. :looser:

It was two blind retards standing in the middle of a lake bed ;)

Dude.... that's an interesting muffler! Is that a Taiwan special?

So now that you're back... did you do anything?

I am back in a physical sense.

I am sitting here trying to stay up long enough to go to bed at a regular time. My system is all thrown off from the time change. I am beat!

Tomorrow I am taking the XJ to work and test the bump stops on the fork lift and I have to figure out how to space my front wheels out a tad safely.

I should get the TC skid on as well since we won't get the Novak in before Sat
