Only In Cali

Yup...only in California...If it would have been anywhere else he would have ticketed the driver for impeiding trafic and not running over the damn chicken

Heh-heh...I was sitting in with a local Sheriff's Department last week in Dispatch when we had probably a dozen calls in 5 minutes about a dog in traffic...poodle at loose...small dog running between cars, etc. About ten minutes after the first calls were dispatched it was cleared - dog was no longer running as someone had parked on him. Stinkin' poodle caused at least three wrecks; I didn't get to hear the end of that

While that is true, I wonder if the case will still have to be heard in front of a judge if the chicken makes it into a stew? Or will the owner get charged for evidence tampering :D

Some of the stuff that they do is stupid, I'm just surpised that they cut the throat and just don't cut the head off the way I was taught. As for the throwing up against the walls and stomping on them, man thats a waste of effort and damages the meat. I have not been in a KFC in about 10+ years, never really cared for their product line. Actually thats not true, I was in one a couple of weeks ago to get a 'small' soda, $1.40 and when I have that much soda at home it usually comes in a 64oz bottle and has a cap on it and lasts me a week...

Dear celebrities: STFU.

At least this explains the picketers out front of the local KFC yesterday; glad to see they've found a hobby. Perhaps I'll go pass out pâté to them later.

It's really tempting to suggest that California has an anti-chicken bias since they elected such a turkey for governor.

No offense, now, just a good-humored jab from out here in Howard Dean country.

The only offensive thing is that you would actually admit that. If there ever was a turkey....Or creep or many other bad names I can think about....I mean...you seriously have to wonder how stupid a man can be to be beat out by Kerry :gag:

Interesting how bad press can linger, isn't it? All people remember is the scream, which itself could have been spun either way. The press thought it would make better copy to paint him as some kind of lunatic fringe hippy from the woods, and the party was scared he might lack "electability," a quality which as we all know Mr. Kerry possessed everywhere but in the voting booth. Agree or disagree with Dean's positions, I think he'd have made a better candidate than Kerry. He probably would have lost, but I think he might have lost less badly, and with considerably more style.

You might also consider that, sound bites notwithstanding, Dean was a six term governor in a state that ran a surplus for six terms. It's just remotely possible that the voters of Vermont know something others haven't figured out.

On a separate note for those out there who are always looking for something nasty to say about Hillary Clinton, I suggest you look up her recent position on the burning of tires at the International Paper plant at Ticonderoga (already a notorious source of dioxin and other pollution in and about Lake Champlain). Whatever it was that Bill was smoking, I think Hillary inhaled some. May she take a flying f*** at a rolling Firestone.

Today on Celebrity Boxing........I'd vote for Dean to take Kerry any day of the week and twice on Sunday, but Dean against Hillary, that would be a real battle! And Pammy could be the ring girl, sporting a "Save the chickens!" billboard

There is talk that it's going to be the new state bird once they figure out how to get the Roosters to lay eggs.
