Anything in that 19 box?

Empty bottle in need of being thrown in the recycling bin

i wish either one of my dutch bumpers had water drain holes....both of mine are ponds when it rains

I know for a fact that the one I welded has a major drain point in the back. The one I provided as kit can with detailed verbal instructions, including a suggestion to add drainage.

I tried getting all fancy with the drain holes and use my my dimple die on them. Unfortunately I put the holes too close the clevis mounts and the die itself wouldn't fit. Oh well, all part of the learning process.

Bumper and winch mounted. I don't know who designed this bumper but those two front winch bolts are a biotch, especially by yourself. :D As I did on the prototype, I cheated and busted out the hole saw to make access holes in the front skid. Then I used some self tapers to mount my license plate and cover up the holes.

yeah, i think you just sold me on cutting my fenders.

Sweet! That'll be 12.50$ plus tax, plus shop fee, plus enviromental disposal fees, plus OSHA compliance fees, plus insurance fees, plus hazard charges, plus.......... Here, I hate math so just make it 500$ and we'll call it good. :gee:

he drove it to my house and pulled my shed with it! I have actual pictures!

Update:

First off, yesterday while working on a D44 I had a stuck axle that made me angry so I grabbed a 1/2-20 union nut from ACE and welded it to a 5/8 fine thread nut I had and made me a little tool for my slide hammer. It worked great, I then used it to removed the front shafts on a D30.

My buddy Jim and I decided at about 11pm last night (after more than a few beers) that today would be a great day to go wheeling. So after waking up all groggy at a little after 9am I loaded the Jeep up and headed out on its maiden voyage.

Overall it worked great. The add-a-leaf rear w/ 1.5" boomerang shackle and Rancho 9000's on level 3 were super cushy on the trail compared to just abut every XJ I've ever been in or owned. The RC 4.5" coils and 5150's up front were just as cushy and floaty on the trail. My free to me Fisk Phantom A/T's I robbed off the Bronco my father in law gave me did surprisingly well. I had almost zero wheel spin and the used factory limited slip I put in the 8.25 did a very good job of keeping both back tires turning. Overall it was a very good day and one of the best wheeling days I've had in a long time. Its nice being able to just top off the tank, load up, and go. I really did miss that last year when only having the YJ "crawler".

Only issues I had was a shock mount coming loose on my front driver side. The upper nut on the shock conversion bracket came loose and made for some annoying arse clanks. We tightened that up no problem though thanks to the mighty crescent wrench. Only other issue is apparently the 3/4 heim I used to replace the worn heim on my adjustable panhard bar was also worn out. Who would've thunk that after a year on my YJ's traction bar it had worn a bit? I already called RuffStuff and ordered a new one along with a spare.

Not a lot of pics as I prefer to just drive but I did flex it out a bit and had to take the mandatory short arm flex shots.

The rear tires stuff up very nicely. I do have small rub marks on both the flare and bumper endcaps, but for now they'll be able to stay on w/o worry.

And there is tons of room up front to stuff the 32's

Only major changes I want for the suspension is some adjustable arms so I can push the front forward about 1/2-1" and get the coil sitting correctly. Otherwise I'm loving it. Its fitting the intended purpose perfectly. Smoothe and queit on the road, capable for the family trails, and enough room for the camping gear. I'm very happy.

Oh, and the 1 shot I got of Jim's

Hey Dutch, so I know you used your air hammer to knock down that pinch seam. But for the ones that don't what would you recommend? I have my fenders cut pretty close to yours but the pinch seam is still untouched. Thanks

A big fraking hammer and a cut-off wheel. Slice vertically into it with the cut-off wheel (to make it insto smaller sections) and then beat it flat with the hammer.

If you come up to my place I'll let you use my air hammer. 5$ a minute rental fee, so it'll probably cost you like 10$. :D

Scored a narrowed D44 housing I'll need to build up. As that means I won't be running the D30 I decided to hold off on the selectable and get a Ron's Machining lunchbox. It was 265$ shipped and has a 1yr warranty. I figured I'll try it out for the season.

Lockers showed up, one for me and one for my friend. These things are such a copy of the Spartan that he even just sent me a Spartan instruction booklet. I already got mine installed with no issues, and no pics as its really nothing overly special. I need to go back to O'reilly's tomorrow because one of the upper balljoints I got from them was mis-packaged. Also, the u-joints in my axle shafts are apparently factory originals and very fraking stubborn. I should have it all wrapped up tomorrow night after work though. The front will have new u-joints, new ball joints, new 1-ton steering (Serious Offroad brand), new brakes, and the new locker. Then I just need to pull the t-case and install the SYE I have.
