Hold on man I wasnt bashing you. But it's true the 500 dollars will be well over the price you'll get for scrapping it. That is why I said or hold out till you get what you want for it. Or part it out. Yo could get 200 a piece for trans and t case probably 3to4 for the running engine and a buck a piece for each axle. Plus misc. Items you could sell. No reason to get all defensive I was just trying to help ya out. I'd rather see you make a buck then just scrap it for almost nothing. Good luck man.

I got $250 for an empty shell we scrapped. There's a fair chance he'd get $500 or more for a running drivable XJ.

He didn't say running he said cut it up and scrap it. I personally think its worth a grand. I don't see why he would settle for a scrap price. But all I said is that if I were going to scrap it i would take the cash offer first and be done with it.

I'm sorry.But that there isn't a CHEAP/LOW BALL offer.I got a 89 yota that i would sale for much more cause it gets 33 MPG around town with the AC on.YOU said you was looking for something to drive that was better for the road and MPG did you not?
