Boggers in colorado...LOL...You have one tons now get the correct tire to go with em....

They worked well this past weekend Grooved and siped they don't slide like un modified . I'm got 3 tires in mind for next set of shoes 40 Bias Trepadors ...42 TSL/Sx...and unfortunately 44 boggers .

So the car just crossed over 500 miles on it. I love it! I have tinted the windows, clear bra'd the hood, and installed rally armor mud flaps.

Then I just went and did something stupid, I went for a ride in another brand new subaru, My new friends 2014 wrx with 1800 miles on it. But his has had a bit more work, just got dyno'd last week at 485 hp and 475 ft/lb. INSANE.

I wish I made arab money.

Just be happy with what you've got. When I graduated high school and started college I was still driving my 2WD 1984 S-10 pickup. It was 17yrs old and had almost 200,000 miles on it. When I joined the Army I traded it in on a 1998 2wd S-10 that was a 4cyl w/o AC, Cruise, PWR Windows, etc. It was barely above a base model truck.

'75 Corolla for me....At least it was the SR5. Dirty Dave skipped over the beater phase way too early. ;)

84 buick -- though the indy-utilized aluminum V6 in it did drop the hammer for a granny car.

Fred was walking. Both ways. Uphill. In the snow. ;)

NO, not ugly. I had a 71 240z in my 20's... I miss it still. Maybe now that I'm a Nissan guy I should pick up another...

The early Datsun 240Z car was named "Fairlady Z" in Japan. While the name is rather, well, Japanese... The car itself was a good one. I had a room mate in the Air Force that drove a '71 240Z. Very capable car, handled the corners well, rode well. Just a tad under powered and that we fixed with a Turbocharger...

The styling was ripped off of a Ferrari as was "how things were done" in Japan during that time. Japan was still in the post War recovery mode and the car industry was stealing where ever they could.

Give credit where due. The car came with a 5 speed manual transmission with 5th gear being an overdrive. 4 wheel independent suspension and 4 wheel disc brakes. A proper sports car.

If you want to see fugly, look at the early Datsuns. Or, for that matter, any of the early Japanese cars. To call them boxes on wheels is sort of an insult to boxes...

4 speeds until 74, though my 71 had a factory installed 5 spd (in 76 - PO was air force, stationed in Japan). The engine, while a little weak, is a knock off of anBenz inline 6, and will rev like a mother. If you let it breathe it makes plenty of power for a little Z

You may well be correct. I do know that my roomies had the 5 speed. At the time, all of the "serious" European sports cars had 5 speeds in them. Of course, Jaguar was still running a 4 speed transmission.
But, hey, we were, for the most part, running a "3 on the tree" transmission. Mostly only trucks had a 4 speed and those had the "granny" first gear in them.

And, before someone cries foul... Yes, the Corvette had a 4 speed and it was an Optional transmission for other cars.

It took until forever for America to wake up to the efficiency of having a transmission with more than 3 gears. But then gasoline, at that time, was, on average, only around $0.36 a gallon. Who cared how lousy the mileage was?

My 84 S10 only had a 4spd manual and was carbed. My 78 Rabbit had a 5spd and fuel injection.

Datsun 1600, 1969, was also termed the fairlady in Japan. I had one, best performing roadster of the time. Most unreliable POS I ever owned, but the most fun. 4 spd. The 2000 had 5 spds.

Fred, someday when I find pictures of my 1600, I'll have to post them for you. Loved the dual carbs on a four banger. Same year, even, '69.
