lets see here, last year we had 40 rigs and by night fall there were still some coming down the hill. Should have 50-60 this year, so i HOPE that i can be at the front of the line again

A few thoughts on the run.
The carnage was minimal with the exception of 1 rig that suffered some yoke/rear axle. issues at the beginning of the trail. A yellow ranger if I heard correctly. Somebody has to have pics!
As usual, when when someone did have an issue there were more than enough hands to help. great job everyone.
I'd like to thank all of the spouses and children of the 4x4 addicts that were on this run. Whether you were there in person or at home patiently waiting for your loved ones to return...well we just couldn't have done this run with out ya. Thanks for putting up with our addiction. :thumbup::cheers:

Well even though I parked the Jeep at the trail head and rode passenger, it was still a great day. With the number of rigs we had, I expected to be on the trail much later than we were! Thanks again Frank for doing all the organization that made the run work so smooth. I got home safe and sound with the Jeep around 9pm!

As for the Yellow Ranger that broke, he cracked and spit a rear lift block and broke the driveshaft flange that bolts to the rear axle. There were a lot of people that stepped up to help him (so I just stayed clear!), but they pulled the block off the other side, used some creative come-along techniques to get the axle back in place and threw on the stock u-bolts to limp him off the trail in 2wd.

What a great run! Thanks for setting everything up Frank. We were at the very end of the group and didn't even get a chance to meet most of the people that went, but it was fun to meet those that we did. It was me, my father-in-law in his Samurai, and SnowyMountainXJ at the end - here are some pics:

The owner of this rig busted his axle on this attempt

This guy was running the trail the wrong way. I didn't see it happen, but apparently he was trying to back off the road to get out of the way and went over. If it hadn't been for that tree...

I was there Frank! Remember I was the one who asked for a welder for a friend of mine who sheared his radius arm on the rock pile. We started the trail before you showed up but ended up at the back of the line because of the welding job.
