Well I just talked to America'sTire about road hazzarding one of my tires and they told me that the 315/75R16s were discontinued.
I told them I'd come in for five new tires when I cut the other 4.
Sux for y'all, but it REALLY SUX for the mining & heavy construction industry and eqpt. mfgrs like Cat...
(According to an article in USA Today last week) the demand for "large" tires for replacements, and new orders for the big junk that uses them have risen, but the few suppliers who produce those types of tire haven't expanded their production capacity ahead of the need.
Imagine needing & ordering several big quarry dumpers, but getting the rigs delivered without tires! Or having one in current use going down for a shot tire... And enduring a 6 month (IIRC) wait for them.

Same thing happened to me last month. They told me my only option was a BFG MT, which they promised would be just as good :laugh3:
They finally agreed to gave me a 37 instead at no charge, didn't even try to sell me another warranty.

That is what happens when you buy junk from the same "low bidder" that supplies the Military and Industry. I learned from my Govt days to avoid suppliers that consistantly win govt. deals... low bidder does not quality make. Buy real tires guys.

Dang! Those crappy tires have been out that long already? Time flies.
If they work for you and your krew, great. I will never, ever run them. I have spend more time on the trails around here waiting, waiting, and waiting.... and rigs strapped to each other.. high lift jacks etc.. fixing tires that came off the bead. No thanks, just not my idea of fun. The tread pattern may look cute.... but they just do not stack up to real tires. But that gets back to my "low bidder" thing. Uncle Sam does not buy them because they are good... he buys em cause they are cheap(est). Maybe I am jaded... but I just think they are junk. But if you like em, and they work for you...... good enough.
