No IMGs in wanted forum?

What's the reasoning behind not allowing images in the Wanted forum?

As attachments inline, probably to keep from taking up so much space.

There's nothing stopping someone from hosting an image somewhere else and using

to get it viewed, or just hotlinking to it - but I'm sure it's done to save server space. Imagine how much room would be taken up if all the images in FS were on servers...

That also keeps admin traffic down - they don't have to look for posts for stuff that's been sold and delete the images. They're the poster's problem...

Ah, but there is. :lecture: Unless that part of the site is just broken for me. And I don't just mean that the

button is missing... I can't even type the tags in manually. The image address is turned into a link and the tags are removed

I didn't know that.

Still guessing, but it may be, then, to keep load times down. If it's still allowing you to hotlink, that means that the post will load quicker for people, and you still have the option to put the pics online - just not here.

I'm still convinced it's done to keep server overhead down, tho. It makes sense to me.

Maybe that's something they should do in the land use forum too... you know, cover the two slowest forums HAHA
