NH Meet and Greet Trail Cutting Party August 8th

No worries - I'll grab one, I've been meaning to get one for a while now as I'm partway through buying a house and will need to clear out some smallish trees and stuff behind it. This just gives me an excuse to buy one sooner :)

We're stoked for Saturday. Partly sunny with highs in the lower 80s, should be a perfect day!

Totally off topic of the original thread, but get a Stihl.

*sigh* Wish I could be there, sounds like fun.

Guess I'll have to make it up there some other time.

Be safe guys (remember NOT to stand under what you're cutting), and take good pics for the rest of us!

Think there will be any need of a bow saw, shovels, splitting maul, or pickax? That's about all I have at the moment for trail/landscaping stuff...
It can't hurt. I'm bringing my chainsaw, clippers, a couple pairs of gloves, and some cold non-adult drinks for while working. If anyone thinks of anything else they want me to grab, let me know before we leave at 9am tomorrow.

Going to be a great day, sunny with highs around 80.

I'll also be bringing some cheap rope and chain for guiding falling trees and bundling/hauling branches probably. Depending on how big the trees are we might want some larger chains or towstraps around... not really a question I can answer though.

I'll try to grab my chainsaw, don't know if it'll start though. But I'm bringing 2 shovels, axe, hatchet, saw, some clippers, and gloves for sure!. If his house/yard is anything like mine, wear boots and pants. poison ivy and ticks will be EVERYWHERE.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like I'll be able to make it tomorrow.

But I would love to come up some other time and help out.

AHHH! I need to go back to the garage to bolt the jeep back together. Hopefully the headlight switch is the only thing wrong. :( This is coming WAY too soon!

Just snapped my transmission linkage cable!! I can not shift out of park!! or anything else for that matter...... You have got to be kidding me, I've been looking forward to today ever since this post started.....I'm off to the junkyard.

Haha! I told the guy when he comes across another (I guess these weren't his first two trucks) to let me know.

Got vise grips? :looney:

Thanks to everyone who came out yesterday. A great time was had by all. We got 2 trails cut and had some fun wheeling them too. I am officially naming the first trail "Damage" since everyone seemed to get some kind of body damage on it. The rock obstacle at the end will now be known as "Buggy Rocks". Anyone have ideas on what to name the second trail?

I will get some pictures that I took posted later today or tomorrow. I also have all of Rob's pics so if he doesn't get them up in the next day or two, I will.

Yeah, so I think my axe is still somewhere along Buggy Rocks. But don't worry, I'll get it when I return to conquer those damn rocks and trees.
