Glad to here to guys can make it. Are you gonna go up fri? I can't make it till sat morning, but We need someone to go up early and take the group site that we had for NWF. Then when the rest of us roll in we can set up camp and hit the trails.

Dingo

I don't know yet what time I'll be able to get out of here. It's going to depend on when Jerry can get off work. And also I don't know yet whether Karl will be heading up.

Looks like Gas prices are going to keep outta this one. Sorry fellas. Will be saving up for the next one. I gotta get out there soon or I going lose it.Mark

Sorry, the Ultimate Trail Machine wont be there. I'm studying for my certification exam this fall, and I am going to spend all available free time buried in my homework.

I could just flog myself, too. It would accomplish the same thing. Anyone have a Cat-o-nine-tails handy, slightly used?

I will try and head up by myself for a day of it anyway and ride with someone on the trails if there is going to be a seat open. I am back at ground zero with the 96 Cherokee which is absolutely bone stock. And I won't have time to get it lifted, etc., before then. The youngest son took the 90XJ up to Bellingham.

I doubt very much now that either Dan or Jerry will be going due to Jerry getting pinched for consuming a couple of suds and driving Labor Day weekend. The price of gas and Jerry's predicament pretty much precludes his being able to tow Dan's CJ5 up there. It all take bucks, and he is in a tight bind now.

Karl has already said he won't be able to make it. So things are looking grim for the T.C. group attending.

I'm out. Transfer case is bleeding at the rear seal. Won't be able to get it fixed in time...

Back to the Mustang for me...

As long as the boss don't require overtime, I will be coming up to meet whoever is there. I haven't decided to purchase a trailer and tow or drive on up. You say it is easy? I have no winch or even tow hooks or a spare. Guess I may need to buy more stuff.

I wouldn't worry about a trailer, unless you're not streetable. I would do everything in your power to get some tow hooks on by then. The spare, what size tire are you running? i may have something lying around you can use for the weekend

Dingo

Well, provided my new tires show up and I actually get them mounted I can probably make it. It would be nice to run some wider trails. I go with my cousin who has a TJ and isn't afraid of body damage. I have a few "conversation pieces" from our last trip. :)

I also have to figure out the spare tire thing too, since I stepped up tire size and am locked front and rear. Oh and get a new fan blade. Have I even mentioned how much a of a pain in the ass electric fans are?

Well you've seen my rig and how wide it is and i can fit through naches pass just fine. Oh yeah if you hit me backchannel we can meet and i think i have some ideas about your fans, plus i have a FAL 110 model with a good blade in it. Let me know.

Thanks for the offer. I run 32 BFG MT's on 15" wheels. But I'll get a spare by then and hooks too. Did some muddin down in Olympia at Rock candy. Had to tow out a quad and bent the rear bumper. Oh well. Amongst the hills and rocks, we found a deep hole with mud half way up the door about a quarter mile long.. Did pretty well, 3 times. Took forever to clean out under the hood, but it ran fine. That was the first time out with it. Also found out I need to saw off more front fender with the swaybar disconnected. That should be done too. i should mention the electric windows work when the doors are in water.

Heh... Jerry tells me this afternoon that he and Dan still want to do the Sep 17/18 thing. Dan is figuring on slowly driving his CJ5 up there Jerry says. Jerry thinks his lockers and gearing in his toyota will be taken care of this weekend. I can't keep up with these guys plans. But if they make it then I'll be with them...... whatta drill.......

Hey D, I'm going to be in Yakima/Toppenish for the week...and if someone wants to make it up I could probably come up Friday and run up there. I'm going home via 410 anyway and will be driving right by there... Even though I'll be RIGHT THERE I won't be able to run Saturday. Daughter's birthday part is Sunday and I'll be getting stuff ready for it on Sat.

Well im in the middle of replacing u-joints right now in the D44 and by the looks of things im gonna need new bearings and seal and maybe a spindle. Damn snorkel got the best of me, played in too many water holes.

Anyway my point was that im gonna be lucky to get everything replaced by fri. BUT I WILL MAKE IT SAT MORNING. So don't nobody panic. Im just not sure i can get up there before then, otherwise yeah id go up fri. Doesn't mean we can't go shoot a game of pool over some suds though.

Been so stressed out about my wife loosing her job and getting her business going around my work schedule, I haven't really thought about dates and taking the trip. I do have Sunday off, so I better get up to date on what is going on. I would prefer to stay closer to home.

I will give my cousin a call and possibly drag along a neighbor if I go.

Where would a meeting point be on Sunday morning? I guess I should know where we are going first to see if I can afford gas money.

I'll make it easy for you. Naches pass and the funny/moon rocks. If you want to make it up sun we'll wait for you at Whistlin jacks or the Kaner flats campground. not sure how early yet but that's minor right :)
