New rig.

my green heep has hd offroad 11 ga. stiffeners. they fit perfect.
my red p.o.s. has ruffstuff 3/16 stiffeners. they fit like shit. m-u-c-h harder to install.
mucho plasma cutting, jacking, & cursing, but they are stronger.

i wish brian at hd would use 3/16 on his. the 11 ga is kinda wimpy but they are a breeze to install.

I was thinking of asking Bryan to make 3/16 inch stiffies for me. Not sure if he'll do it or not.

mudflaps.com has RE 5.5 for 90$ shipped new

Talked to Serious Offroad. His price is only .93 cents higher then Mudflaps.com for my coils. Going through him so I can support a NAXJA vendor. Spoke with Brian @ HdOffroad Engineering, $390 shipped for a set of 3/16th stiffies. Got in contact with Ruffstuff, spoke about my different options for steering while using their diff cover. I might have to use there offset tierods to clear the diff cover. Anyone using their cover and heim steering with 1.5 DOM? Also, who has used a panhard kit from Ruffstuff?

why don't you buy 1/4" or 5/16" 3x3 angle iron and do it yourself and save some bucks. i had to do so much to the ruffstuff stiffeners that i would have better off starting with some flat steel or angle and building it myself.

What some have done while using heims is putting a bend in the tie rod for that extra clearance. I think that those offset TRE's are great tho. Their panhard kit is not much different than their steering, minus one stock of DOM.

why not keep it simple & use currie steering?
i don't understand why anyone would bother with anything else.
(on a d-30 anyway)
run the currie & a driver side taper insert to run over the knuckle.
simple upgrade with more ground clearance.

I have his frame side mount if your interested. I ended up using what I had instead of his when I bought his kit....

i run the currie stuff with OTK insert on driver side with no sway bars and it can take corners fully loaded very well on the freeway/

I'm pretty sure this means that blogging about your jeep is the new actually working on your jeep. we should make a video game, where you have to work a regular job, pay your bills, and try to build up a jeep cherokee as strong as possible in an accelerated 5 year time frame, with all the trails to chose from. i bet that game would be a hit . call it XJ wheeler. it would be the new angry birds, and angry birds would be the new frogger and jeep liberties would be the new XJ and it would all be weird. cats would go ruff and dogs would speak spanish. .
