Hey guys..

Just wanted to show off a spy pic of my new mods: Long Arms and Frame Stiffener from TnT Customs. I'll post a bunch more pics either later this week or early next...

Here are some of my general thoughts about them:

Handling: Excellent! I put about a billion highway and construction site miles on my rig a week and I have absolutely no complaints at all. Handles everything flawlessly.

Long Arm Cross Member Connection: I can't get into too much detail but know that I can't think of a better way to mount them. ie: super slick mounting, overbuilt construction and incredibly stout & sturdy!

Cross Member: If you could see the top of the crossmember (facing up) and the construction that went into it, you'd definitely get an idea of how well constructed this thing is. Absolutely no short cuts were taken anywhere.

Clearance: 1" of clearance over stock is very nice!

Frame Stiffeners: Stitch welded for drainage. I can't believe how much more solid my setup seems with them. Also, the nice thing about these is that it's not only a frame stiffener, it also provides serious protection to the framerails. It's definitely nice to have that protection. The only creeking I hear now is from my rear hatch area now and I'm working on that right now.

Timeline: 2 weeks for full specifications and first week of December for product release to the public for purchase.

Overall, there's no way I could possibly be happier with the setup. The research that went into both the XJLA kit and the Frame Stiffeners was pretty substantial and ALL opinions we're considered in the design of it. Bob and Matt of TnT Customs talked to quite a few XJ guys all over the country to find out what they'd like to see in these setups and made it happen. It's killing me to not be able to give specific details into the construction of these kits but I can guarantee there's NOTHING on the retail market that's even in the same league. Once I can release some specs, you'll see what I'm talking about.

how does the crossmember attach to the frame? is all that channel welded on what they're selling as frame stiffeners? is it needed for the LA crossmember?


crossmember attaches via the two existing crossmember holes plus one.

frame stiffener: nope.. not c-channel. solid plate brakeformed to match the contours of the frame rail. it runs from top of the frame rail all the way down and across the bottom. it doesn't roll up the other side so you don't have to worry about dealing with your fuel lines. think of c-channel minus the other side but with a chamfer in it. one solid piece construction as opposed to three pieces of c-channel that people are used to seeing. super sturdy!!

not needed at all for the LA crossmember but it works with the crossmember so you can build onto your setup later.. everything they're constructing is made to work with all of their parts...

any more pics of both. what's the deal with no plug welds and the bent LCA's. and what's with the 3 dinky bolts on either side holding the trany up and the front end under the truck. Looks good though
 
looks great - any chance they'll give people discounts for installing on their own rig, helping with r+d and give them more pics for their website??
