New, new, new.

Hello, I am new to this forum, new to (joined last night), and new to XJ's. My Name is Brian and I live in San Lorenzo, CA. Just bought a bone stock '99 that I am going to make my into my 'family expedition' vehicle. As from my screen name I currently run a '07 JK Rubicon that I have built to be more of a trail crawler. Since it only has 2 seats now, there was no room for the wifey. Sooooo... I figured I would get somethiing a little more functional for a group. Will begin moding this one up with a small lift and a locker, some sliders and belly protection, 31's....no 33's....37's and a D60 and and Atlas 4 speed. Noooooo I've got mod fever. Stop me before I build again! Seriously just looking for a vehicle and a group that likes non gnarly wheeling once and awhile and I was told to look here. So here I am. Like I said earler I joined last night, and it said that I need to get ahold of the Section Master to join it. Whom would that be?. Also I see that you have a memebeship drive going. So I guess you have one 'new' already. Hope to get to meet you all, and I hope that you will help me build my XJ.

By the way, I am absolutely, 100%, verifiably, absolutely, NOT jealous of your '07 2-door JK Rubi, which, if I get my way, will be my next vehicle and I'm already thinking about what lift and tires I want on it....

The JK Rubicon is a great right out of the box wheeler. THe JK has caught alot of flak but if done right it is an awesome rig. Had I bought the 4dr I probably would not have the XJ now, room for stuff being the factor. But I am happy with the JK and am really liking my new XJ. It's funny how you enter a whole new world of things. I've noticed vendors here that I did not know existed, and there are vendors on the JK side that carry stuff for everything but the XJ.

I have lived in San Lorenzo since '69. Born in Ft Huachuca AZ, Army brat.
Brief stops in Fremont, Oakland, and Alameda. Currently live 5 houses down from the one I grew up in.
